The board are in a no win situation, and we are now making us a victim of our own success. Would we rather pay 35% less, and still be in the Championship ?
i do not expect to watch premier league football at the same price but a realistic rise of say 10%-15% would certainly make it easier to swallow.
Also it would not surprise me if the club charge us premier league prices but serve us up a championship side...call me cynical but in all honesty i do not think those running the club actually give two hoots about us

Far from expecting PL football at Championship prices. Remember there are 4 less home games to see and the prices should take this into account.
They are going well over the top with these prices. It'sok for those with big incomes and or low outgoings, but those earning the average salary of about £25k or slightly more or less, but with mortgages and kids to support will not be able to afford the pay £40 to watch. Of course the tickets will sell, because there will always be new richer fans to buy the tickets, but many of those who watched in the 80s, 90s and 00s will no longer be able to attend matches.

How come Fulham & Wigan can sell tickets at much cheaper prices?

They will look something like this

      Platinum £950 (£50 per game)
      Gold £808.65 (£42.56 per game)
      Silver £708.75 (£37.30 per game)
      Bronze £607.50 (£31.97 per game)

Only 9,000 ST will be available, so no doubt they will want to cash in on away fans or those paying on a match by match basis. This implies they will raise the cost of tickets by even more than 35%.

As a ST price, £32 for a bronze ticket where some only provide a view of half a goal at one end is bad enough, but if buying on a match by match basis my guess is it will be priced at a minimum of £35.

      Platinum £60
      Gold £50
      Silver £40
      Bronze £35

Oh well, I will just have to make do with watching them on TV from now on. I am not paying those prices to watch games from small seats with no leg room, poor views and crowded concourses which make going to get food, drink or use toilets difficult and uncomfortable.

And don't start thinking that all of a sudden QPR will be signing top players. They are asking us to pay top prices so that we can watch other clubs' top players!

mate we haven't even played our first match save the relegation talk for the first week of September. Gawd in heaven. If you don't want to pay, stay home, yelling about prices only shows you can't afford it. Spend it on your family and wife instead.

Us, you mean supporters? or do you mean just you? and what do you base this on? how do you know that those who are running the club don't give two hoots about you? Listen, if you can't afford it, don't go. I have to spend thousands to get to Shepherd's Bush, and when I do I won't regret it. I have waited 15 years. Maybe if you wrote them a letter, tell them you lost both legs in afghanistan, they might give you a free ticket or three, all you have to do is show up in a wheelchair.

Price is not an issue for me
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

                With pleasure.

Unfortunately some fans don't seem to realise that life is all about "either/or" situations. You could EITHER have rubbish football in the lower leagues that is cheap, OR you can have premiership football that is very expensive. You can't have both. I know plenty of long standing fans for Prem Clubs and they all say its, quite literally, a different ball game now. They used to either have season tickets or rock up on the day at places like Arsenal - now theres a waiting list for season tickets decades long and you can't get tickets for love or money. One old boy I know whose been going to Highbury since 1948 now only manages to get tickets a few times a season.

Its sad but its the inevitable cost of wanting all the glamour/ glory whatever it is of the prem league. No point moaning about it.
