i am sure we'll see bundle tickets available as well (ie Man U/Arsenal at home bundle is with Norwich/WBA/Bham or whoever) to bring up home attendances....

... thats if season tickets are limited to 9000

not surprised by price hike had a feeling it would be in line with all our London neighbours always thought around £700=750 currently paying £570 for upper loft gold seat. also match day tickets £40 everywhere else in our area

hike in prices unfortunately obvious, there will be no early bird and as for picking and choosing games , dont think people will be given that option my bet willl be you cant just buy a man u arsenal chelshit spurs ticket, they will be linked to the boltons wba type tickets, or they will have a loyalty points scheme where you need to go to the poor games to get to the good ones, so for me and my boy and my mrs, could be loooking at about a£500 increase (currently in gold)

we need to remember there are a lot of member fans who go to most of games but cant necasserily afford the st, cant sell to many and these guys missout they have been supporting the club for years so think the club needs complimenting on that

That's a good point to be honest.

Oh Well that's me out then. It's cheaper to watch England cricket, which is what i intend to do. 5 games tops, very sad if true.

                    nothing on offy
                    re prices or mittals
so much is rumour, internet chat and paper talk..remember we were facing relegation,15 pts deducted etc

35% so soon after the 50% hike, seems harsh on fans, if true...we will play less games at 19...sponsors deals trigger payments worth millions and does the prem lge itself with tv money guaranteed.
we know fulhams prices and clubs like norwich..if qpr want to charge arsenal/chelsea prices, well what for?
we won't sign a major player, as we can't pay the wage on 18000 gates.

So my ST will cost £945 for next season if this is true. I will purchase one for one season only and after that **** the club if they think they can keep taking liberties. I'm really not looking forward to next season its going to be a massive anti climax, too many fans crawling out the woodwork with unrealistic expectations. I have a massive feeling this will backfire on club, no sizeable transfer budget and massive ticket price increases this is only going one way. The ground will be half full for a number of fixtures with the glory hunters only turning up for the big fixtures.

The club has no justification for increasing ST/Matchday prices at all if as we all expect to spend around £10 million on transfers as TV revenue will cover that alone. We will probably end up getting tonked every other week, who the **** wants to pay through the nose to see that. I'm not excited about PL at all, seen us play at the big grounds already having experienced us in the top flight before. Give me a 46 game Championship season with 3pm Saturday KO's any day of the week, the novelty will wear off when your hobby ends up costing £3,4,5k?? every season.

If they go up 35% this season they will rise again the following if we stay up or heaven forbid do ok and finish mid table. A price rise of 35% is the club laying their cards on the table and basically telling the fans this is the way we intend to do things in the PL. I really can't see us filling our ground every week with these sorts of price increases.

Can't disagree with any of that unfortunately.

Despite the excitement of being champions, promotion etc., I can see exactly where you're coming from. We can only afford it because we get two disabled season tickets each with a carer going free. If we were all full paying, I'd not be able to take Dan and Josie, and possibly, if it were a really big increase, not be able to afford mine.
We already spend around 3-4k between us across the season, with away games too -- I doubt that figure will drop just because we have 38, rather than 46, games. Extra money isn't there, so we will probably have to travel away less this season.
It does make the Championship look very rosy...

Good post W12 and it is so true, but people set themselves up for a massive fall thinking ST's would only go up 10-20% and that we would be competing with Man City for players signatures.

Regarding the alleged prices for ST's, IMO this is another smoke screen. They have created a scenario where people wont be thinking about how much the ST will cost, as they have accepted a rise, but they will be thinking will they get one and buy immediately. After the initial 9,000 have been sold, expect to see something along the lines of "due to unforeseen demand, we have decided to sell another 3,000..." creating another panic, where people will buy. Ali Russel would be proud.

The last time we were in the Premier I paid £182 and that including all home cup games as a bonus and I still have the same seat now which I paid £469 for last season and £599 the year before

The ground was never full for every game even in those days and at those prices so I doubt we will every week as the board and a lot fans think we will especially if the 35% increase rumours are true
