I know there's a lot of column inches to fill in the nationals and on t'internet but anyone else get the feeling that we are going to somehow implode and embarrass ourselves in the PL next season?
I don't want to sound pessimistic or alarmist but this should be the happiest time we've had in decades and we should all be excited and looking forward to next season rather than be caught up in all this uncertainty....
What with the rumours about Warnock going and trying to do things on the cheap I for one have the feeling that next season could mirror Derby's disastrous season a few years back... crikey that would be unbearable and I'd rather still be in the Championship...
I know the season has not even finished yet but some of the has beens we've been linked to are rather alarming.. Eider Gudjohnson being the latest.. I understand all the arguments about money and low crowds at LR but why can't we just go out and get some decent players that are sought after for a change...Hooper went to Celtic for example and has scored for fun.. ok its only in Scotland but we all know he'd score his fair share in the PL!!
Maynard, Long, Graham are all names that would get the juices flowing but we are all pretty sure we won't get any of them.. Watch Norwich go out and get the sort of players that we all want...
I don't want to sound like a prophet of doom but as usual QPR seem to be making a right balls up on the PR front.. ok so it all could turn out fine in that we keep hold of Warnock and spend decent dough on quality players but am not holding my breath....
