dont think those beams could hold another tier mate and its already like sardines when its full in the gangway so would need to double that, so i doubt it.

Far to compact around LR. Agree with you though, we do need 7k.

Only place as a long shot we could do it would be SAR but it would involve moving all of the offices in the stand elsewhere which will be extremely costly. For the long term stability of the club we need to move ground while we can afford it.

Take away the fish tanks in sa road stand and have it as it was, 2500 more seats. Job done.

wouldn't mind hearing from the club about all this "new stadium"/"expand LR" stuff: it's clear something needs to be done: rather than us speculating how about someone comes up with a plan.
Surely the F1 lads had an idea that if they wanted Champs League football for QPR they would need to find something more appealing than LR!

When doing the tour last month I said that surely we would have to move. However, we were told that the Ellerslie Rd stand could be extended to add another few thousand. The guy didn't seem to think there were any plans to leave Loftas Rd.

....not sure about the ability to be a Big Team at LR...the games changed a lot since 1995

The only way is to buy out the houses in Ellerslie Rd. The gardens at the back are 50m long plus the house.

Those houses are upwards of £500,000 each. Plus the residents on the other side of the road would block it.

Any redevelopment of LR would be a huge compromise and would probably make the stadium worse not better in terms of sight lines, accessibility and facilities. We have an 18,500 pit that we all love though. Not much point in making it a bigger pit is there?

Stay at LR and slowly decline.

Build a new stadium and grow..........no brainer is it.

At the moment Loftus Road is about at it maximum for where we are. But if we want bigger and better, ie European football, then its nowhere near big or good enough. If and when we move though I hope we go for something of a similar/traditional design with for four different and distinct sides but with that modern/roomy feel, and not a one size fits all "bowl".

lets see how we get on with results and attendences before we even think about moving, we could be down by xmas and the crowds will dwindall. nothing worse than a half empty stadium

The are huge amounts of clubs that have grown in the last 10 years-we've just sat still.
