  • Taarabt will be a success

All these people saying Taarabt wont be able to hack the Premier League and will get kick to peices, are you stupid!? The Championship is by far a more physical league than the Prem, and he was a success in the Championship. Defences may be alot more smarter at dealing with his skills in the Prem, but he wont get kicked to peices. Remember he´s just a kid, 21!! He´s only going to improve even more! I say keep him for atleast another season, he will capture a few headlines, his price tag will rise being a Premier League player, then spanish, italian clubs will no doubt tempt him away from us. No way would I trade sick note Joe Cole for our captain who not only had more ability and skill than Joe Cole, but will provide us fans with alot more entertainment and joy. Liverpool want to get rid of Cole because he´s past it now, and they want Taarabt because he´s young and has a load of ability. I dont think one of the biggest clubs in the world in Liverpool will feel they are getting the shorter end of the straw if they swop Cole for Taarabt, thats why there a big club

Here Here.. All my mates have been saying he'll be useless as he won't have the time and space to perform his tricks. Adel needs less time on the ball and space than any other player I've seen live. His best performances have come at LR with the smallest pitch around.. YouTube is littered with him skinning various big names from those 9 sub Performaces for Spurs aged 17. He will be a class act!

Spot on PutneyHoop. I find it so negative hearing people saying he wont hack the Prem! Why do a club like Liverpool want him then!? Its because he´s bloody good!!! If Nani can hack the Prem, then im 100% sure Taarabt can to! Remember when Cristiano Ronaldo first arrived at Manchester United..he pulled out all them tricks and didnt really have any end product. But under good guidance from quality manager like Ferguson and gaining experience in the Premier League match by match, Ronaldo turned out pretty damn good!!! The best player in the world infact. I think the same can happen with Taarabt IF he´s given the right guidance and support

Ronaldo turned into an athlete too. If Adel can work on that side of his game it would benefit him big time!

IMO we should get what we can for him now and use the money wisely.

The reason he's been so good for us is because Warnock has spent too much of his managing time mollycoddling Adel, making sure everything is just right for him.
This was worth it last year because the touches of brilliance that he showed, when he could, and more importantly, when he wanted to and was allowed to, was one of the main reasons we won the championship. All credit to him.

Can Warnock really afford to do that this year? I say no.
Even the fact he had the armband was just to pander to his ego. He's definately not a leader. How can he possibly have that in the prem? And when he doesn't, do you really think he will have the heart to play well for us?

I just think that whatever the plan Warnock has for next year, he will have his hands full enough and won't have the time to go fetch the dummy every five minutes for the baby. (Yes, Hull is still very fresh in my mind.)
            Premiership midfielders will crucify him.

I'm no expert, I can just give my opinion.
Football is a team game and even the Adel lovers (of which admittedly I have been at certain points!) will, I'm sure, concede that he is not.

I posted this on another thread on Sunday that Shaun Derry and Paul (never said a good word about QPR FC) Merson were talking about Taarabt and Merson said he did not think he would cut it in the Premiership and Derry said that maybe teams in the PL would not put 1 or 2 on Taarabt which may help him and give him space to do what he does best. He also said in reference to him going missing in games that no PL team can afford carry passengers, which I thought was a tad controversial.

That's not entirely true, these are the Prem pitches we will be playing on next season.
In comparison ours is 112 x 72 (8064) so although not that wide, half the Prem pitches are shorter than LR.

                    keeping Adel is crucial..
it will send a message that other clubs can not cherry pick our talent..
he is young and supremely gifted..
                    we will not replace him..
i saw Marsh and Bowles and Adel is in that mould..
QPR have always needed a maverick..
                    now we have one..
we need to keep him another year..

What happens if he does not want to stay another year, will we be doomed to relegation ?

It's not about the physical side. He's proven he can hack that. It's more the mentality, and if we're all honest, he doesn't look to have it. He's too petulant, and when he's throwing a strop, he's more of a hinderance than a help.

I really hope he does stay, and that he keeps it under wraps, but let's not pretend that he's the be all in our coming season.

No one can doubt how good a player he is when on form, but like I said before...How many of those days will he have when he plays the likes of Essien, Fletcher, Gerrard and co, biting at his heels. He can't handle a wind up, and there are plenty of those in the Prem.

Please don't get all precious and make out I'm trying to slate the guy. I just don't put him on a pedestal, like some.

                          no
we will stay up easily with or without Adel
but we don`t just aspire to become a pragmatic side like Stoke
that is not in the QPR DNA
nor do we want to be reckless and naive like Blackpool
                          we need to have options
the wild card option is to have a matchwinner
the top sides have two or three in their team
the bottom sides can`t afford them

we have the money to afford luxury
and we dont have to go out looking for it

if his heart is not in it
                          so be it

                          we will prosper either way
but we must strive for artistry and entertainment rather than just survial

Sorry, but Taarabt is one of the strongest players in our squad, he may go down easily and dive, but that's because he's clever, the main reason he is called the new Zidane is that he has amazing skill and strength, which is one of the main reasons he's able to take the ball past players. If he has the form and determination he had at the start of the season in the Premiership rather than his form as of late, he will do brilliantly with us next season.

I really cant believe that people think this is acceptable. Yes it goes on and yes one day we might win the Champions league final because someone was clever, but how in gods earth do we accept a form of blatant cheating acceptable.
