Any one know how much money we should get for atleast being in the PL? Just read the wigan chairman whelan talking about a £180million shootout with west ham, 90 mil given to the team who stays up. I hope the money we get gets put back in to the club. The debts, a better training ground, plans for a better stadium, better players etc

tarabtt i think you have got to realise that all the money from the kitty will have to pay the players ridiculous salaries ,you have got to realise that arsenal take three million pounds a game on top of all this money but there still not rolling in money,on our liyttle attendancies we are still going to be virtually broke, thats what happened to watford when they went up,grayham taylor explained that the money he received was just not enoough
but we have a chance as long as we keep warnock
all this crap talk of raneiri look what avron grant did to west ham i hope the qpr directors are ashamed of themselves for even letting the papers get away with such rubbish

40 million - value estimated up to 90 million including parachutes payments etc (they are increasing and extending)

£50m if you win it and minus £800k for every place below top. So, if we finish 4th from bottom we'll get £32m. If you assume average attendances of 16k @ £40 a ticket gate receipts will be around £11.5m and with sponsorship/shop sales the accumulative total should hit the £50m mark per season.
The base money is £16m and I think parachute money now lasts for four years on a sliding scale, so probably worth £25m over four years if/when we go down.
All sounds great but if you have 25 players on the Premiership average wages of £25k per week (£1.3m a season) the wage should be around £32m which leaves us £18m a season to buy players, run the club and pay off existing debts. I still reckon most signings will be free transfers.
Quite a rough calculation, but doubt it's far off the mark
