You might have to tell that to Neil Warnock.

Think you are being harsh. He had a great debut at Loftus Rd, was really box to box, and ran the show up at St James's Park. Must admit last game he played at Loftus rd - forget who against - I just about had a coronary shouting at him because he just didn't seem to be trying. But in fairness to him the club was in complete and utter meltdown, he was on loan and he prob just wanted out. Be a good replacement when Bullard tires towards the end of a game imho.

I wouldn't judge Watson purely on how he did when on loan. As mentioned earlier, he didn't suit our system, plus we were a complete shambles both on and off the pitch at the time.

He's been a regular for Wigan all season and from what I've seen of him looks like a much improved player. Good on in a deadball situation aswell. He won't get 10 goals a season from midfield but he's a decent enough box to box player. Similar player to Reo Coker who seems to be a popular choice for some. Although I'd imagine Reo Coker would be on big wages at Villa so an unlikely target.

Moses looked like he was going to be quite a player a couple of years ago. Maybe the hype went to his head, or maybe Wigan is a bad fit, but he definitely hasn't lived up to his potential yet. He's still only young and judging from how Scott Sinclair has managed to get his career back on track I'd say he can still be a good player. Maybe someone like Warnock can get the best out of him.

These must be the same players I mentioned last week.

I wouldn't pay to much interest to how Watson was before.

Just look at Helguson and Hall then, compared to this season

Ben Watson is one of Warnocks boys and for me is a given that he will come if they are relegated and would probably come if they stay up. When I said this months ago, people giggled, but I hope he comes and Ben Watson and Lee Boyer would be superb additions to the team.

Towards the end of the season despite Wigan's position Watson has been playing really well

And while we are it we can have McCarthy and Rodallega off them as well!

                Well I can hope...

ben watson was useless on loan, irrespective of who u play for and what position u are in the league one should always try as hard as possible. who needs players that only try when it suits them. ben should go back to being wills brother

I like all these Warnock favourites. They all play their hearts out for him.

Another vote for Watson - forget about the past loan spell, under Warnock, he would be a different player, and he is currently a premier league starter for Wigan.

Moses is the right age of player we should be signing. We have enough players in their 30s already.

Would Speroni be able to play understudy to Paddy?

Forget all these big salary players in the papers... if we could get Watson, Moses, either of the 2 Kyles, Speroni, Routledge, we would have added to the existing backbone of the team.

I wouldnt mind Watson but i'd love Moses signed
                      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
