Obviously you see the headline mega-bucks ones bandied about in the press or the mental West Ham ones the Icelander dished out.... but, them aside, what's an average? What would say, likes of Dempsey at Foolham or N'Zogbia be on at Wigan??? I don't mean them literally - just that sort of player.

Average would be around £30k a week.
In truth, there aren't many Tevez, Adebayor, Rooney or Torres wages knocking around.
Someone like Andy Carroll would have gone from around £12k a week at Newcastle to around £50k a week at Liverpool with an escalator in there and breaks to allow renegotiation.

We're already paying a few players over 20k a week apparently.
The Wigan chairman was in the Alan Sugar programme about football finances. I'm pretty sure that he said the smaller north west clubs had agreed not to pay anyone over 20k per week. A sort of unofficial wage cap.

Players near the bottom end of the table (premiership) suspect would be on 16k-30k a week.
We have a wage cap and suspect we might up it a little in the premiership, but doubt it would exceed 30k a week ( amazing when some people earn that in a year)ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.
