  • Jamie Mackie to join Crystal Palace?

Hey chaps, me again, becoming regular again!

Again, i would put in your main forum but won't allow me too.

Just been chatting with a few people from our training ground set-up and the word is that we are in an advanced stage to agreeing a deal for Jamie Mackie to join us over the summer, now i have no idea if this is a loan deal or a permanent deal, but there is very strong talk that this deal is happening.

He is also apparently very good friends with a current player of ours, Jermaine Easter and they live very close to each other.

Would there be any truth in this do you think and has he now recovered from his broken leg?

    Cheers guys

Trying to get u on the main forum. I think its disgusting u can't get on there. Treating you like a chelsea fan and its bang out of order.

Mackie is a good championship player that will work his nuts off, lacks any real quality but would do well and just the player u need for a prmotion push. Could be true as he won't challenge our new signings and wayne Routledge.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Think Mackie will be a useful squad player for us in the Prem - can't imagine why he'd want to take a massive step backwards.

Have another look at the 2 goals he scored at Leicester weare, then the solo effort at Ipswich before you carry on. He may not be Zidane but you make out he is useless.

A loan could be the right thing for Mackie to do to get his fitness back and Palace would be convinient as they are local so i guess this makes sense if true.

Playing in THE premier league in World Football or a relegation scrap with Palace - a tough one!!

You all know im not someone for putting pointless arguments or bickering on here, just passing on some general infromation which i have been told to see your thoughts on it.

In all honesty aswell, there really could be some truth to this story than what some of you think.
Next season QPR will have to name a 25 man squad for the season, it's clear to see that QPR will be signing a fair few number of players and im not being harsh here, but i honestly dont think a number of your players would be regular starters in the premiership, so, with that in mind and the type of players you will look to sign, would you really see Mackie being a regular starter in your Premiership side, probably not.

Mackie, to me, seems the sort of player that wants to play week in and week out, and he clearly won't get that next season will he if your honest, he will be a subs player mostly getting 10 or 20 minutes here or there and i doubt he would be happy with that would he?

A loan deal if thats what it is could be a real possibility. I will wait to hear of anymore developments and let you know.

Not being funny but he is far to good for you boys. Also Warnock loves him so he will definitely be staying with us. The only thing I could see is a 3 month loan to get his fitness up but even then he has whole pre season to do that. Wont happen. Sorry to dampen any of your hopes

Every team needs a Mackie, someone who chases lost causes, closes down, over enthusastic and stands up when needed to.

Yes id doubt he will score more than 10 goals, but i bet he will have a big hand in driving us forward, i personnely think he will stay and play a bigger part next year than we all may think.

Not going to repeat what I said on the other thread. However, clearly R's fans have short memories of what he did during that 19 game undbeaten run at the start of this season.

Way too good and too dedicated for Palace and 100% good enough for a crack at the EPL.

If we sign Routledge i think Mackie will struggle to get a game. Love his 100% all action effort type game but technicaly WR is streets ahead.
