Some of us wondered at the time why the FA brought in an independent commission for this -- seemed over the top, even.
But it's good that they did, because it makes a Swansea appeal impossible (only we can appeal the verdict and punishment) or lawsuit virtually untenable.
Swansea also haven't done themselves any favours by initially accepting the decision, then saying they would appeal,and then saying they would leave it until after the play-offs (ie: until they fail in the play-offs).
Their whole motivation for any law suit would be very suspect after that, and if they fail in the play-offs, it is solely down to them that they haven't gone up.
