he is not 23 to may..... i will be sad to see him go...but if we go and buy both simon cox and gary hooper then i must realise that we have bought two players for the price of one

then as always we move forward by selling and re investing but if we dont buy some power up front i will be disapointed

also like to see us sell a couple of center halfs we dont need eight

i think the mistake is not having signed a worthy replacement before letting him leave. This leaves us with HH, SDC, RV, AB and AG to pick from in the remainder of our games this season. Very weak attacking options, 3 being very inexperienced and the other two injury prone.

IMHO a good deal for us

Nice bloke though...whenever i briefly spoke to him or saw him he gave a lot of time to fans and especially the kids - signing autographs/having pictures taken and all that.

                      today is a sad day

dex has scored some real good goals for us

Imho not the wisest of moves and they MUST have someone lined up to replace him

Hmm - mixed feelings here. There's a good player in there somewhere and feel he could come back to haunt us.

Having said that, providing that money is wholly re-invested in the same position for say, Mackail-Smith, Boyd or another decent proven scorer, we should be ok. I don't want to see it squandered on another over hyped, unproven player from Arsenal reserves, Milan's youth team or Madrid's Castellon

I think its good news for us, we need to be more ruthless in getting rid of players.
Bircham was with us for 5 years & probably played well for us no more than five times, what other clubs would tolerate that kind of state of affairs ??
Its good that we have got rid of Dexter, nothing personal against him, but his career never really progressed at Rangers, did he have an attitude problem ? in all honesty I dont know, but he did personally give me a certain impression of possibly a lack of intelligence, just running about a bit isnt good enough, you need to be aware of tactics & what the manager is asking of you.
Good luck to the bloke, did OK for us, scored some important goals, hardly a big loss or a sad day for QPR though, lets be completely honest about it.

                            Routldge on the right
                            Cook on the left

Played correctly Blackstock was the only one at the club, who could have benefited from that formation!!

I agree Pete, But I feel Sousa wants players who are better on the ball. For all his good points Blackstock was weak with the ball at his feet
