F1 is BE and FB's bread and butter so no surprise at all that they chose to go to the fledgling Istanbul track that pays them £10m to stage the race!
Briatore's interest is in the GP2 support series that is his baby.

I've always thought the Mittals have had a bigger share in things than we and the media have been led to believe.
If you were as rich as them, wouldn't it be a good idea to build a reputation for the Club that you are relatively tight and won't pay over the odds for players - they've certainly done that - so that when you do get to the promised land, people want try to rip you off when signing players, like Chelsea and Man City do. These guys are very, very astute and me thinks Lakshmi is well into URz and is gonna take us to the top - You only had to see the smile on his face to see that.
Lakshmi is a Ranger, Lakshmi is a Ranger, La, La,La La - Theres a chant for next Season.
Onwards and upwards.

The Indian market is virgin ground, so to speak. Ok Blackburn have their Turkey farmers who will look to get involved there - but could they compete with the might of Mr M? Add to that the fact that since his involvement, Rangers have been poking around the Indian scene and, given the untapped numbers of people and £££'s in the Country, I can see some very good reasons why they would want overall control - because if they crack the market (and I cannot see why the Mittal family would fail at it) then the return on investment would be immense.#standuptocancer

Like all of these things, you don't really know what will happen, but I think this sounds really positive.
They might change QPR into an IPL cricket club of course.
