  • Don't shoot the messenger...

Heard last night that the buyer interested in Bernie's share's is the Mittal's. They want full control. There is another party interested but these were not the people reported in the papers the other week - that was about the Mittal's. Very much doubt you'll see Bernie or Flavio there next season.

The fact they couldn't be bothered to turn up Saturday spoke volumes, I know there was a grand prix but it was in europe.

I'd be happy with Mittals in full control

Good news, I care about the Mittals. Flavio and Bearnie did a good job early on however
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Also believe when I see it but would be great news.

I really wondered about the effect Saturday would have had on the Mittals. You can't help but get excited and carried away when an atmosphere is as good as that and when you see what success brings. The excitement, the joy, everyone smiling - I noticed Lakshmi waving one of the flags. It's an infectious thing, winning in sport.

I really hope he does get the bug and the buzz from winning - he did seem to be enjoying himself. We already know Amit is passionate about QPR.

After all, when you have 19billion, what are you gonna spend it on (rather an over simplification I know)? Where does your next challenge come from?

Then again, that's why he has that money and I don't. He clearly gets just as much buzz from business success.

Be interesting to see how ambitious they are if they they do have full control. Hope it's true.

i can confirm (because occasionally i am in the know and have my own HP sauce...) that the Mittals would buy the club lock stock And barrel tomorrow if they were given the chance. They want to own the club outright themselves, but refuse to pay ‘silly’ money for it to Bernie/Flavio. So if Bernie decides to sell for less than the £100 million he’s been touting, the Mittals will be the buyers…

Considering the state of our balance sheet, 100m is ridiculous!

It was in Turkey, slap bang in the middle of final qualifying!

F1 is BE and FB's bread and butter so no surprise at all that they chose to go to the fledgling Istanbul track that pays them £10m to stage the race!
