  • Can I just remind all fans RE tranfers...

    We are newly promoted QPR.

Players like Joe Cole, Robbie Keane, Jermaine Defoe, Mark van Bommel etc, won't be signing for us.

Sorry if I missed any other players who are on £50k+ a week who fans think we have a chance of signing.

Set your sights lower or you will be very dissapointed this summer.

Just to add, we can, and WILL stay up without these big names that people are mentioning.

Agreed, however some of our fans are as thick as s.hit and will not grasp this fact all summer long .....nailed on.

Be wary of new posters talking up big signings in the PL, they will be tarred a Johnny Come Lately on the basis of being a clueless donut

Good post, but for some strange reason would not disclude Robbie Keane.

We have rich owners but quite rightly they will be prudent in players wages and take this one step at a time. We don't want to end up like Portsmouth.

              Pete,

You will have been formally designated ' thick' for not excluding Keane, probably by the same people who would have said the idea of Bellamy dropping to the championship would be promulgated by 'thickos'

I should love to know the qualifications of these 'experts'

Everyone knows Bellamy's move to Cardiff was a unique situation, no comparison.

It should be possible for people to exchange views without being called 'thick' - 'unrealistic' is polite and acceptable

It flabbergasts me as to why people get so personal on here. Most posts about transfers are either wishful thinking or rumour. This forum is all about that, so when something doesn't happen so what!!

Back to the point, I completely agree. It wouldn't surprise me however to get one marquee type signing, perhaps a forward? What do you all think? Peter Crouch would be amazing but I can't see that realistically. Anyway, I'd rather have a team of players who work well together than a couple of individuals who are bigger names but not going to make the team work well.

Sadly Morris, there will be a large number among us that will not see this in the same way. We have already started reading posts about players that will simply not play for Rangers next season. Expect the usual comments such as tight board, no ambition, blah blah blah.
This summers transfer silly season will doubtless be even more surreal than normal.

Last season, far too many slated Warnock's dealings in the transfer market (a topic which has been done to death) yet he got the job done and many have accepted they were wrong. What price the same people saying the same things this time around?

One thing that Warnock has already said when asked how much the war chest would be was - we will be looking to do things in the same way as last season......which I translate as buying a certain type of player for jobs NW wants done well and then looking for one or two luxury's as the icing on the cake..............my thoughts when I heard him say what he did?

That's fine by me, you do things your way because, Mr Warnock, you are the boss and you have given every single Rangers fan £60 odd million pounds worth of reasons to trust in you.

Im not expecting any big names and agree with Morris that you can survive and hold your own in the prem without all these marquee signings.
For me we need a couple of defenders with pace, a centre mid or 2, another winger and a couple of forwards.
