  • Best thing for us...

Believe it or not, would be Tarbs to go.
Im sure most of you watched his comments on the bbc's interview where he was saying he would think about it and he didnt know weather QPR were big enough for him.
Adel would bring in 10-12M and with that we could get 2-3 decent players anyway. He will get sussed out very quickly next year and will try to do it all himself. When things don't go his way he will show us up by having one of his tantrums in front of the biggest league in football.
Buzsaky can do Adels job next year, but with passion for QPR and a lot more passing.
Thanks Adel, but its time to move on.
My first game was boxing day 96 QPR 3-2 Norwich....yes we actually beat Norwich.

If Taarabt does go (he would suffer more than us if he did), Buzz isn't the answer.
That would be one vacancy which would need money spent on it.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

I wouldn't say it's the best thing for us. In fact, that's a ridiculous statement.

I would say that it wouldn't be the end of the world, though. As great as Adel is, he can be a hinderence at times. If he gets frustrated, which may well happen a lot in the Prem, he goes missing. It's actually worse than being down to 10 men, having a stroppy Adel on the pitch. Having an on form one is like having an extra man, but I do wonder how many of those types of performances we'll see in the Prem?!

I do think Buzz is good enough to do a job, but in the same respect, I do not think he's the answer. More of a valuable squad player, but I don't think we can really rely on him, week in, week out.

Anyway...Let's see what the closed season brings.
      Your mum would love me...

Buzz is too lazy and NW clearly does not rate him in training.

Adel's comments in that interview need to put into context - he was honest and it was not the best time to ask that question. Most players kiss the badge and pledge their future whilst already negotiating a move away with their agents.

He has earned the right to look at offers and then decide if he wants to stay with us or move on.

I don't agree that losing any of our best players is the best thing for the club. We had a core of great performers this season, but it was only about 5/6 that really shone brightly and it is best that they all stay IMHO.

The best thing for us is to lose the players that are championship level, which is over half...and get some people that really know how to find the net up front....not losing our best performers.

          My thoughts exactly.

He is not ready for the prem and as I said before, only in spain's top flight but with a lower club will he survive.

I know he has learned a bit with NW but how many times this season has he thrown a strop and asked to be subbed.

You can easily treble that in the Prem and then there are not many games left for him to shine.

I for one hope one of the bigger clubs come and take him soon so NW has the money to spend.

I am staggered by this thread - We had a number of top performers this season each and everyone a credit to themselves us and the club but Adel Taarabt was the difference he was that little bit extra that we had that no one else did. Sure he has his "moments" but if he wasn't young and learning we would never have had a player of that talent as the finished article will undoubtedly end up at Barcelona or Real Madrid. Adel is good for us and we are good for him, currently it's a match made in heaven. I hope to have the pleasure of watching Adel for at least one more season (many more ideally)

I can't wait to see that proved wrong. You seem rather contradictory anyway - why would a big club come and pay for him, if according to you, he isn't ready for the Prem? So which is it?

I want a big club to come for him now so he does not dither and excepts the offer quick but didn't say a big club will.

He has done his job for us and we thank him for that and he has already said he will listen to offers and for sure some one will make a bid for him and his agent will persuade him to go.

What a silly thing to say. On the basis the team is based around him, when do you think it would be OK for him to tell NW of his decision to stay or not, so he can plan our assault on the PL next season or do you suggest we do nothing and just wait until he has decided ?

Every player on the planet will listen to offers from bigger clubs. If Blackpool go down, we will be the one of the smallest clubs in the Premier League....I think we will have the smallest ground.

Need to be careful what we wish for. Wanting rid of our best players when we are not the draw other Prem clubs are seems a strange view to me.

I think it's win win for QPR if Taarabt stays or goes

Stays - Class player on our hands
                      Goes - 10-15million is great
                      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

No one wants him to leave, HE IS the one contemplating leaving and you are advocating we give him as much time as he wants to to so.

How can my statement be silly - he isn't going to decide to leave before there are any offers and NW rates him highly, so I am sure they will have a sensible discusion if offers come in and he will look at his future.

And in the meantime who does NW look at, who does NW buy, who does NW let go, will we end up with two similar players, when we really only needed one, will NW miss out on someone because he did not move quickly enough.........

I watched the interview. Adel never said "he didnt know whether QPR were big enough for him".

I do see your point about seling him = £10M = 2 or 3 other quality players.

Buzz, good as he 'can' be, cannot do Adel's job, he has only a fraction of Taraabt's talent.

Bearing in mind the progress our '21 year old' protege has made under Warnock in the last year or so, it's highly possible he can make similar progress in the next year also. how many other Club have a 21 year old as captain (I appreciate Derry was the more obvious leader on the pitch, but the armband has been Adel's most of the season).

It's also possible that by attracting Premiership quality signings in the next few months that Adel may feel more inclined to pass to them, than he has done in the past 2 seasons with Dave, Hulse, Vine, Clarke, German, etc.

Just my opinion (although I think I might have lost my case with the last one)
