WeAre mentioned that we will only pay a quarter of the likes of Manure's wages, which is a validpoint, but we also have far less fans to generate the cash.

Difference is, they have between 49-75,000 each week to pay those wages. We have less than 18,500. Even if we averaged £45 per game which we won't due to kids, students, Cat A/B etc., that's only £832,500 per home game. Less than £16m a year, meaning we can run a wage bill of £300k per week, at best. That's 15 players on £20k per week, forgetting any match fees and goals/assists/clean sheet bonus's. We will need to generate far more than that in order to keep that up.

Let's face it...Until we get a new ground, we're either gonna have to pay peanuts, or we'll heamorage money for a while.

Sure, we have other income. Promotion bonus, TV rights, Sponsorship etc., but all in all, we're going to be held (and rightly so) responsible in some way, to help run this club.

Ok, I may have some of the maths wrong...I'm not sure if we even have to pay the players if they're injured or in closed season. I pressume we do, as it's a weekly wage?

Either way...Expect a decent increase in prices.

Like I said...I know we'll receive the big money for TV rights etc., but where will that go? On transfers, ground improvements, new ground, acadamey, etc.

First and foremost, what ever is owed to whoever at the club, will be paid back and is the reason why I cant see many transfers involving a fee, IMO the majority of signings will be made up of free agents and players who's clubs are looking to reduce the wage bill, who will be on moderate PL wages, with a survival bonus built in. Ground improvements granted and the academy is vital for the future, but still no need to price people out, but that is their call.

Paul, I think you're missing the point. Who's on about pricing fans out? I think £35/36 is fair for silver. £650/700 for a season ticket is fairly reasonable. It's a lot, but hardly a rip off.

I'm sure the owners are more than willing to put their own money in for transfers, but it's going to cost a huge amount of money to take us to the next level. Around £100m for a new ground, I'd imagine, and £10-20m for the academy for a start. I think £20m on players in the 1st season seems about right, and their wages will come at a large cost. They'll spend money, I'm sure, but they won't continuously keep throwing it away just to please the fans. Would you?

If I can't personally afford the £650-700 for my silver ticket, then so be it, but I wouldn't feel ripped off paying that for Prem football.

I actually agree with Benny.

You can't have it both ways.

If we want to survive then we all know that better players will need to be brought in. We have to many championship players that won't handle the step up. I would be willing to pay 40 quid for a decent brand of football.

I will be paying whatever for my three ST's, but we have been here before and we were conned, so lets see the 'quality' of the signings. Spend, spend, spend threads that need to be funded by the fans make me laugh after watching Lord Sugar last night, but hey ho.

remember sky deal last year was £1.8bn 2010-2013, and then on top of this is international TV deal for the Premier league of £1.4bn over the same term so there's plenty of cash sloshing around.

Not a question of being right or wrong, if the fans cant afford it, thats that for those fans....same thing has happened to a lot of different clubs and fans.

Dont matter if the club spends 100mill on a new stadium and 100mill on players if the fans dont have enough money then cant come, in there place will come the plastics.

Thats when you will get chelsea type supporters...........

I think you're all missing the point tbh. The economics are there for ALL to see. We balance the books through the income and we'll be where our attendances say we should be - a yoyo club between the Championship and League One.

We have VERY VERY Rich Owners. If they want to gamble on our club and its finances, then fine, but let them PAY the difference between income and expenditure. If they continue to loan the club the money we will become insolvent quicker than you know.

By the way, remember its not just attendances that will pay our wage bill, its the obscence amout Sky fork out along with the silly Sponsorship money we will get...

I've covered sponsorship and TV rights. That sort of stuff is what will pay for the transfers, new ground and academy etc. The point I am making is that if we want Prem football, we pay Prem prices. That's a given.

The points I made are just some of the reasons to justify an increase.

As I said, I think the owners are more than willing to pit a large amount more into the club, but they won't keep doing it for the sake of it.

Just for info Norwich season ticket prices if bought before 14th May are between £470 and £530 for an adult and £730 for "lounge" so i guess if they hold 50% more attendance. then our prices should be approx £750 - £1100 if basing on attendance size logic.
