the concret blocks in the corner house staircases...as for Oveido's ground,i'm sorry,i havent a clue what you are talking about(whose ground is it similiar to?)

There was rumours that the bbc were selling the old white city site after they
move up to salford, now that would be the perfect spot imo, say 25,000 capacity with say like cardiff can, add more seats if needs be, like many have said, i too love L.R. but it's looking old now, & most teams this year have taken the p*ss out of how old fashioned it is when visiting us, yer something along the lines of reading or the new brighton stadium(s) would be ideal for us.

How long does it take though? Even if we "pressed the new ground button" today how long before we'd be in it; 3/4/5 years? Personally, I reckon if we don't do it this calendar year we never will. Final point... this will sound harsh but where our current fans live (supposedly A40 corridor) is irrelevant - it's where potential new/rich fans live that will influence the decision. I get the feeling our owners would want a hip inner-city "metrosexual" brand as opposed to a dreary surburbanite brand.

there is still the old Dairy site at the top of Wood Lane.As for Televison Centre, there is talk within the Beeb that they might look to sell. Its only Sport and Radio 5 live that are going from there to Salford(think Breakfast Time is going too)i think News are going to Broadcasting House(the home of BBC radio in the west end)but that still leaves many departments left at Tele Centre,as well as the studios

we have to have some sort of forward planning, available sites dont just pop up,and staduim planning and building can take a few years.Where do you get the 20% figure from?will that be more to do with the away end not selling out?
another way of putting that is 80% of our games will sell out

We need a bigger stadium and a bigger pitch!
"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

I hope you know that all football pitches have to be the same size... the size of the pitch at LR is identical to wembly... And if you go to a local semi-pro club... the pitch will be the same size there, otherwise there would be some stadiums that are much easier on the lungs than others
QPR, remember that name, you'll be cursing it later

Logically, you would think so, wouldn't you, but Nik is actually correct. Pitch sizes vary, they can be up to 10 yds different wide and long. R's pitch is close to the minimum size possible IIRC.

As Warnock said poky little Loftus Road might have a big part to play in keeping us up next season.

Pitches are not the same size - they can vary. International matches, like Euro 96 in England, have to be within a certain size limit - that is why some stadiums, like Highbury were not allowed to have a match as they were far to small.

A bigger ground would be nice but would it work long term? You can do nothing with LR as it stands now. Just no more room. Ellerslie Rd Stand leg room is a joke and you can't go for a P or beer at half time without missing 10 mins of the game.

The next stage of development for the club is a new ground. 18000 is a joke in the prem.
