  • The flags and general atmosphere yesterday..

Apologies if this has been commented upon but have only dipped in and out of here since the match but just wanted to say how cool and amazing it was seeing all those freebie flags being waved about and for the first half at least, the atmosphere was incredible and never heard a noise like it at LR....

Game was shite and to be honest I felt a bit flat and blame the FA for ballsing up and ruining what should have been the happiest day of my R's supporting life...

Having said this I hate it when we lose so was weird celebrating after a defeat and lame performance.. still am sure had we have sneaked a draw I'd have roused myself.. don't get me wrong I wasn't just standing there stony faced but this whole sorry saga has definitely taken the edge off and soured our success...

Still, once Messi has signed I'm sure I'll be back on song!!!

U R's and looking forward to an interesting summer...

Was in the school end (never again ) and am sorry to say that whatever noise is generated at the loft end does not carry to that end of the ground and this could well be why visiting supporters slate us.All the stewards did was threaten to eject anyone standing which pretty much killed off any attempts at joining in the occassion and watch out when they click the little walkie-talkies on their chest as they are in fact switching a camera on to film who-ever they are being a pain in the backside to.Not needed and way over the top.

the flags looked incredible. i was in the lower school end and looking out onto a sea of rippling blue and white was amazing.

totally agree with howardqpr above, the acoustics at loftus road are shite! the sound does not travel at all. but the air was buzzing, great to see all the different parts of the ground breaking into song.

also, atmosphere in lower school end was shite!!! just glad to be there tho....

I wonder if they are gonna give us Premier league flags free on the seats for the 1st home game too.

Due to the day, celebrations etc it didn't really register that we lost, imo the players were probably more relieved with hearing not being over their head anymore than worry about the result, they and us could actually celebrate it for real.
