I don't like to sound like Eyeore and it should go without saying that I'm absolutely delighted we are going to be in the Premiership, but if I'm honest I found the celebrations all a bit flat. I wonder if anyone else felt the same?
Partly it was because of the very lacklustre second half performance after an excellent opening, so to lose on the final day did spoil the party a bit. But also think that the wrangling beforehand just spoilt it for me a bit, particularly last week. This might sound odd but when I look back on our promotion I will probably think far more to Watford, seeing Andy Impy run on the pitch to celebrate, Adel coming over to us to celebrate when he scored, Tommy Smith's goal and the joy and relief of Faurlin. That's what will give me a lump in my throat.
As I say, entirely subjective and different moments obviously mean more to different people.
