Im sure they will spend money, they know it's necessary and our board will not want to see us go backwards having achieved the first step!

As well as we've done this year we will have to replace a lot of players, I think Warnock has been around long enough and has the experience to make the right changes and still keep enough of a team spirit within the camp to keep us up!

Well if you took that attitude maybe you would prefer to watch your local park team where the entrance money is an ice cream from the mr whippy van.

agree investment needs to be sensible but i think, with respect, you are massively underetimating what a step up it is. i remember the chairman of brum being asked what it takes to stay up the first season. he just looked deadpan and answered "£40 million." I don't think we will spend anything like that and warno will be brilliant at picking up the odd free and cheap rough diamond but when it comes to the prem there is no cheap way of finding three or four strikers who can be rotated and who know where the net is.

In the Prem we need a squad of 25 players. So if you take the current first 11 plus a couple of subs we still need to sign quite a few players and still keep most of the old.

          1. Kenny
          2. (Orr)
          3. -----
          4. (Hill)
          5. -----
          6. Faurlin
          7. Routledge
          8. Tommy Smith
          9. (Taarabt)
          10. Buzsaky
          11. (Helgusson)

          (....) - eventually stay or 2nd choice

I don`t mind to see next season Crouch, R Keane, J Cole, Chamakh, Bougherra or whoever in our team if we challenge Top 10.

Strangely, I don't want to watch my local park team. I've had a season ticket since I was six - that's 36 seasons - and I've nearly seen my club disappear.
Yes, we are going to get a ton of TV money, but so did Portsmouth, so did Hull. We have had enough owners at QPR to know the are not necessarily in it for the fans. Do you remember people shouting "loadsamoney" when Wright took over? That turned out well. I expect us to sign some good players, but we probably already have the basis of a good squad.
I don't want us to be in a situation where relegation could threaten the club. We have a reputation as a rich club, so other clubs and players are likely to hold out for big deals. But we are not a rich club, we just have rich owners.

If we weren't going to keep the basis of our current squad, why did Cerny and Helgusson get new deals? With respect, I think you are massively over-estimating what the step up is. We need to finish above three clubs to stay up: Norwich, Swansea/Forest/Cardiff/Reading, plus one of (on present table) Blackpool, West Brom, Stoke, Fulham, Birmingham, Newcastle, Sunderland, Villa, Bolton.

i think we will spend some money. The owners will have to imo if they want us to stay up. They could get away with it in the championship, but the premiership is a whole new level, and the team as it stands wont be good enough without spending. They are a few great players, e.g Kenny, Faurlin, Adel, Routledge and a lot of other players who will be very useful but we would need to sign some very good players

I understand your fear but if you take that attitude we will never progress.

No one knows how ambitious the owners are. I've always suspected "not very" but the mittels will be exposed to massive publicity in the prem and won't want tb associated with failure.

As things stand we have a squad considerably worse than west ham (who are bottom) and probaby a bit worse than wigan and wolves. We are light years behind villa and even - dare I say it - fulham. Sunderland I think spent something like 50million in one season alone. Shaun derry, clint hill and jamie mac as first choice players is sadly not going to cut it - a point they half acknowledged by saying this promotion wd b the pinnacle of their careers.

One name I haven't seen on this board is Phil Jagielka - he is a great admirer of Warnock - so why not? If Wigan goes down there are some interesting players ex. Victor Moses.
I don't believe in getting a spagetti guy in charge - Warnock has showed that teamspirit is the way and let him find the guys who can work in a group and we will show all those big clubs that we mean business i PL - i can't wait and will book many flights nexts season.

Agree definitely replace the back four. Hill, Connolly, Gorkss, Orr would be torn to shreds in the prem.
                          I would have
                          Kenny

                          Naughton
                          Bruma
Not sure about another CB but we need an experienced prem one
                          Mayor Figueroa

                          Faurlin
                          Parker

                          Gio Dos Santos
                          Taarabt
                          Mackie

                          Carlton Cole
Think we may have a few Italians. Hopefully if we do sign any we will get Alessandro Matri (class striker).
                          Estamos QPR
