We didn't inflate the price, the club did. It was a deliberate lie, not a mistake. Remember, we had just been hit with major price increases, and no early bird, and were making cheap/free signings?

The club never attempted to set the record straight on the actual fee at any time. If it was really about this, then they deserve all the flak coming to them. I love it when liars get caught out in public.

It seems Paladini is regularly caught out publicly.

Lets just see what transpires. As for announcing 3.5 million, that would have been a club decision.

All clubs inflate transfer fees. Its not right, but they all do it

Not defending anyone, but thats a fact.
The key thing here is that this was a club decision, not a solely Gianni decision so he should not take all the flak.

At the end of the day telling a lie about a transfer price to your fans is not an offence, certainly not a rule breaking offence.

          Who inflates transfer fees?

I can't recall a fee being inflated as these are on paperwork sent to all the regulatory authorities. Some clubs may announce the value of the overall deal, but again, NOTHING would be inflated.

I agree, and most clubs do it. The whole thing smacks of the FA trying to get some kind of sanction in place to save their face, even if it is getting rid of Palladini who tbh, does not have a great track reputation (rightly or wrongly).

Not criminally, but morally certainly and it does look though it has caused us problems with the footballing regulatory bodies, so yes, it's a pretty big issue. Please tell me you're not defending someone telling lies to supporters purely to meet their own personal ends?

I know I'm dreaming of a Utopian world, but wouldn't we the fans much prefer it if the people in charge of our football club didn't lie to us full-stop?

No they don't. Because they'd get caught.

No wonder there has been an increase of "undisclosed" fees up and down the country in recent years!

Out of this I hope that all fees are stated when players are signed, but more importantly, all monies are paid from club A to B, before the player moves.

I wholeheartedly agree Paul, a bit of transparency and honesty wouldn't go amiss really.

I would also like to see the media be held accountable for every single piece of absolute bloody nonsense that they write, day in and day out. Not going to happen though, is it?

And the real stupid thing about this is how many of us actually believed we pid a transfer fee of £3.5m on Faurlin. I for one didn't and took it that the "deal worth £3.5m" probably included the players wages in that fee.
Don't you just love Gianni "I've never done nothing wrong for this club" Paladini..

As for the FA they are digging heels in over fee for Faurlin, does NOT warrant a points deduction.

The mistake was at the time we obviously inflated the price of Faurlin to appease fans (at a time when we were questioning any signings) and season ticket sales were slow.

I think its no doubt we inflated the price, but thats come back to bite us. Will open can of worms on other clubs who do the same thing and might lead to transparancy in future with clubs actually giving the true value of any signings they make.

The FA seem to think we did spent 3.5 million, reality is we are QPR and never do things like that.

How come Nodge 70 all of sudden says the trophy will not be there??

Quote from mat smith on twitter - since superseded by club announcement I believe but still conflicting messages.

That tweet from Matt Smith is basically saying that FL aren't saying anything. Misleading at best
