davidmcintyre76 - Rare PR victory for QPR. The FA getting an absolute panning. Wrongly in my view.
Reading back on it I hope you're right WebbieUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Unless there is a 100% turnaround by the FA there will be no statement today but will be over the weekend- Fact. One of our senior members(you can guess who)is thought of by the FA to be a dodgy and they are trying all sorts to prove there is something being held back.As it stands we are going to get a fine and a slap on the wrist. The reason for the delay (words of FA Barrister "The whole of football is more important than QPR)is they are giving themselves time for other options after tomorrows fixtures. This meaning if we are far enough ahead a few points deduction to make everybody happy is possible but not likely. There are many grey areas in this case it wasnt as straight forward as we all thought.I asked the question why has NW stated that he is not worried and does not see any problems(answer) he has been told to by barristers. After the verdict there WILL be appeals from other clubs but it will be them trying there luck for compensation just like West Ham/Sheff utd as it will be what if this, what if that. There is quite a bit more that has come out of this case but will have no bearing on the outcome. If there is more you want to know feel free to post back and i will answer but ONLY IF I KNOW AND ITS THE TRUTH.
1) Win, lose or draw tomorrow v Leeds - can the result have ANY bearing on OUR FINAL league placing this season
2) What of the chances of points being deducted next season?

Unless the FA impose something on QPR before the final whistle tomorrow there is no action that can be taken against QPR as a Championship club. Any points they chose to take off QPR will have to be done on next season. Once the final whistle occurs and all games finish the season is over. There is only one grey area and that is you can only become a Premiership club once a member of the Premiership has been relegated. Because at present no clubs are officially relegated QPR and Norwich are technically not Premier League clubs yet. The Premier League fixtures doesn't kickoff until 3pm tomorrow, so providing either West Ham doesn't win or if Blackpool win, West Ham will be relegated and QPR become the first club from the Championship officially promoted. From that point it will virtually be impossible for the FA to take point off us in the Championship.
What about the playoff you ask - well that is a completely separate competition, one that qualification is achieved by finishing in positions 3 to 6 in the league with the winner gaining promotion via a knockout winner takes all tournament.

My take on it is that the delay is bad news for us.
I honestly think the delay is solely designed as a pressure release valve for the Police at a number of fixtures. Our game with Leeds would risk descending into serious disorder (pitch demonstrations, fighting etc all possible and would all be live on terrestrial national tv - with the FA pilloried as being the responsible party) if any announcement of a significant punishment was made prior to the game. After the season ends on the pitch, everything cools down by several degrees.
