  • Ken Bates: Its unfair on QPR

Warnock's team could be deducted points if they are found guilty of the seven charges against them and be demoted back into the play-offs.

While they are still expecting to receive the Championship trophy at Loftus Road tomorrow, the Football League insist they will not confirm that until today.

Seventh-placed Leeds face QPR tomorrow and chairman Ken Bates raged: "This is chaos and an utter shambles. It's not fair on the other clubs and it's not fair on QPR."

...Adding to the confusion is a debate over whether the FA even have the power to take away QPR's trophy once it has been physically handed to them.
Sources at the club believe those powers cease to exist once the season is over - although FA sources doubt this is accurate.

Despite all the uncertainty, the Football League has confirmed the Championship play-offs will go ahead on the dates planned, starting next Thursday.
That means Rangers would not have the chance to lodge an appeal should they be found guilty.

    F***ing Shaaaambles.

They cant even decide what is accurate in regards to what happens if we lift the trophy

Two people this week who I thought I'd never add to my hero list: Simon Jordan and now Captain Birdseye himself. I salute you both!

I see Mr. Shaun Custis is back on the scene.

I notice there's no mention of 'guilty' or (up to) a 15 point deduction this time ?

Not sure I want Ken Bates on my side either. Watch him change his tune after the verdict and any subsequent fallout, if Leeds haven't benefited directly.

            I had a nightmare

that the Fa deducted so many points (a la Palios ) that we are completely out of the playoffs.

They then realise that puts Leeds in the playoffs, for now.

Our team are devestated and lose the match against the now rejuvenated Leeds. Also massive crowd trouble, with possible match abandoned.

Meanwhile there were two teams that could have overtaken Leeds if we were to have beaten them,Burnley and Millwall. Another court case.

Therefor they leave the decision until after the last match.

PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME I'M WRONG

BIt of a conspiracy idea here, but maybe they want us to win, Norwich to lose or draw and thus leaving us with an 8 or 7 point gap.
They can then take away 6 points (citng one for every game AF played when alledgedly illegal, leaving us winning the league by 2 points - everyone happy on the surface and less chance of an appeal by us and everything carries on as normal.
However, we know that won't happen as Norwich will get their winner on the last minute of the opening day next season.

You just assume the powers that be don't require clarification on their own rules and regs that they understand the position they put themselves in once they award the trophy. It just seems to me the FA are a bunch of individuals who don't even understand their own rule book.

Is it any wonder that the delivery of the New Wembley Stadium was over a year late and way over budget.

Is it surprising that we have lost 2 consecutive World Cup bids, we morn the death of the worlds greatest domestic cup competiton and have wasted millions on foreign Ineternational bosses who have done no better a job than a Lge 1 manager would do given the chance.

                Are we shocked

...to see a consistently under performing International players
...a continual lack of investment at grass roots level
...no blueprint for better financial regulation to prevent teams from going into Admin

...the list is endless and it really should come as no surprise to find us in this position when it is quite clear domestic footballs governing body is incapable of arranging a **** up in a brewery let alone conducting and concluding a Hearing they have had 2, 5, 10 months to prepare for ???
