In theory yes. Administratively the season doesn't end until June 30. But after the play offs etc.....that makes it all exceptionally tricky.

edit...in the event of a significant points deduction being applied after the play offs etc, I would assume that only two teams would be promoted (Norwich and the play off winners) with the third bottom team in the PL being saved. And then all the legal hell dogs break loose.

Nodge, i said the same last week to west ham supporting mate, told him never know you finish 3rd bottom & may take our place in league in stopping us going up with 2nd team (now norwich) & p.off winners going up
