  • QPR bent on enjoying trophy moment, come what may

NEIL WARNOCK says the players are determined to savour collecting the Championship trophy on Saturday, regardless of the outcome of this week's disciplinary hearing.

“I'm delighted that the Football League are going to present us with the trophy on Saturday," Warnock said.

How is it Warnock is able to say this, why would they present us with the trophy only to take it away?

It either means a) we are expecting the commission to clear us or b) we will be found guilty but only fined or c) the verdict has been delayed and will not be made until after the weekend.
Would be very strange to let us lift the trophy and not know whether it could still be taken away. And all the newspaper reports will focus on the cloud more than the achievement, which will be a real blot on my scrapbook for this season (yes, I do keep one).

This is the point I'm trying to make, how can you present us with the trophy then take it away, thats why I thought the hearing was timed like this to strip us off the title.

If Warnock is saying this the only plausible explanation I can find is that will be crowned Champions and be promoted regardless of what the outcome is.

              This would suggest

              a) Fine
              b) A max of 2 points deducted + fine
              c) Points deduction carried over to next season + fine
              d) Suspended points deduction + fine
              e) Cleared of all charges

Or am I reading into this wrong?

Sorry Neil but after this week and if as it sounds we will not know still before the game, how can I possibly party and then have it taken away again afterwards.
This really is one of the lowest feelings I have had in 40 years of following the R's when it should be one of the happiest.
                This whole thing stinks.

When did they print the programmes, for them to put back where we belong it would look stupid on a keepsake (programme) if it all went #### up. Must know the outcome.
