The FA have already contacted clubs (Swansea) warning that the playoffs may be delayed so this article is bull.

        Not quite balls I'm afraid....

The Football League hold that power not to change the Play Off dates and might be trying to use that in their argument to the independent Tribunal, as part of the legal stuff that goes on behind closed doors

but surely this suggests we are guilty already or is it contingency?

i thought the board seemed more positive about the news tonight.... :-)

This does not suggest we are guilty.

it simply implies that football league will not back-track and if QPR are found guilty by the panel (we don't know yet), they will not allow a long drawn out appeal.

Basically they are playing hard ball. Thats all it is. Simply saying if you don't play by our rules if found guilty, than we have the power to keep to the original play off dates.

Not big news really, just shows what who we are fighting against

I know for a fact that alternative play off dates have already been given to the clubs involved though so if there is now mention of this it's clearly a new tactic by the FA to try to pressure our legal team!

This rapidly turning into a farce the FA should do the only thing that means that this doesn't get any worse, fine us if guilty of anything (though that seems debatable albeit with limited evidence) and then let the league carry on as normal!

Reality is, we would have to fast-track it.

Football league using the powers they have thats all

Who writes this s..t? So they honestly believe that firstly we would even consider fast tracking our appeal and further more, we would compete in the Play Offs until our appeal was heard? What would happen to the other team, if after the 1st leg they were leading, only for us to be given automatic promotion again? Would they get a bye into the final? How would the Cardiff feel if they were pushed into second only for it to be taken away? Do they get a bye into the final too!?

These people don't half talk b......s. Why can't eveyone just shut the f..k up until the verdict, that way, when they know they can then write whatever s..t they want as at least it may be factual!

                        Fez,

The football league decide when Play Offs are played. Considering they are the ones who brought it to the attention of the FA, they are not going to bend over backwards.

Forest have been contacted too to make contingency plans should the play-offs be delayed. My understanding is that there would be a one week delay but not more than that.

But we have a legal right to appeal?
And we could still, on those grounds, go to the High Court to get an injunction to delay the play-offs?
This is ridiculous -- they don't want us to have ANYTHING, it would seem.
Why don't they just kick us down into the Ryman now and be done with it?

I'll tell you this, based on recent past history... I'd rather be in a "fight" with the FA, than the Football League.

They are the ones who've dished out the big hits lately.

                              Ask Luton, Saints etc..
