I believe what smudge has been Saying these last few nights but also keep telling myself there's no way the FA will be seen to lose a fight they have picked!

Thats something that has been niggling me Macca.
Surely the lawyers have met beforehand, or at least someone representing the two sides - if only to ensure the charges are not due to a total misunderstanding.

It's like charging someone with murder only to find-out during the trial that they had a cast-iron alibi. I know that this would be found out by Police - but amounts to the same thing - prosecutors need to think in terms of the defendant's case to ensure all angles are covered.

No professional body could be that shoddy. Seriously, joking aside about the FA - how or why would they do that?

There is some misinformation in Smudge's tweets, of that I'm sure. I just hope he is generally correct though.

I know in usual civil litigation and even criminal trials, both sides must give full disclosure of any documents or evidence they plan to rely on (even documents they dont plan to use) prior to any hearing, these being laid down in procedure rules, however I have no idea if the same rules apply in this scenario!

Morris, simple question to you or anyone: Assuming that is true and whether he's his mate or not - Why would our barrister put his entire professional reputation on the line by leaking sensitive information to a red top hack?

One certain winner from the FA hearing into QPR's signing of Alejandro Faurlin are London law practice Blackstone Chambers, who are supplying lead barristers for both sides.

Not that it matter much, but he's a Pompey fan.

                    Sea air?

Anyway, at least he's keeping some spirits up this week.
                    Which is good. I suppose.

Tbh, im confident it's not a wind up.

What I'm not so confident on is his info being 100% correct, even if he believes it is.

                      • My other two questions are:

Are the FA, the QC and QPR aware that all these alleged updates are being leaked?

Doesn't this somehow prejudice the whole process and/or break any of its own rules?

I've been a bit out of the loop today so apologies if these are obvious or have previously been answered.

                        • Have a gut feeling we may just hear something Thursday. How on earth did it all end up like this ! I'll clutch at any straw right now, in the hope we retain our rightful position as Champions. Who knows about this Smudge ! Hoping he is somewhat in the know and it's not a total wind up. I have a sense that he is for real, which makes me feel a bit better. I just pray that his sense of optimism at a favourable outcome is justified, turns out to be true. Like I said, I'll clutch at any straw right now. If I'm honest as to what I expect, nothing at all would surprise me. One minute feeling good, next minute not so good. Will be around noon your time when I'm up and around so praying something real positive on here before I take off for work. Life sucks at times !

Regarding the Mirror story on QPR. It's a logistical nightmare for the FL which gives me more reason to believe the outcome will be positive

The FL are in a right state over this. However they will put up a strong defence for QPR at the hearing when they give evidence
                            We got our Ranger's back!

                            • That last sentence is just his opinion.

I think we need to be careful about Smudge and not get our hopes up, sounds like it's still in the balance
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
