Media Coverage of this whole thing has been terrible
Just like to say well done to blogandwhitehoops. I've been reading your new blog from the beginning and whilst I initially had my reservations (there have been many new blogs and generally they've been terrible) yours is well written, and a good read. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Talk Sports reporting has been awful, used to love the station but not any more, they don't no the in's and out's of the case at all, and just spout nonsence, ie how many points will be deducted. Only Alan Brazil seems to have any clue, maybe because he used to play for us.
Talksport has been a total disgrace, and even SSN has gone down in my view.
Especially today with the Palios 24/7 coverage, and the disgustingly loaded questions he was asked.
I suppose it's a taste of what other fans have had in the past, because the sh*t has landed on our heads this time.
The media need to sell papers, or keep viewers/listeners interested.
If they just talk about QPR being not guilty, it is only QPR fans who will be interested. On the other hand if they write or get people doing interviews saying QPR will be deducted 15 points the whole football world takes notice as it changes the whole league table and causes something for people to get excited about.
no one knows the outcome except the people on the pannel and even they have probably not decided yet, so take no notice of what the media says.
The media coverage has been appalling, mainly due to lazy journalism. I have heard so much contradictory nonsense, not to mention made-up stuff that it beggars belief. If we had been mid-table it would have been about us facing FA charges, it is only a story because when it broke we were romping away with the title, so the story became about points deduction.
As others have said, the media need to create stories if none exist. W@nkers all of em :yush:

Agree with Robsondino. Think a lot of the complaints are a case of shooting the messenger. In any situation like that there are different people briefing. There is also a thirst to find out, hence the obsessive interest on here. Regardless of the outcome I hope we step back from sounding off against the FA, the media, other teams, Palios etc and have a quiet look at how we conduct ourselves off the pitch - and see if some lessons might be learned.
