I'm basing my thoughts on the most recent tweets from Paul Smith.
Ever since the billionaires came in we demanded a marqee signing, screamed abuse at Briatore and Eccelstone to spend money at matches, moaned day in day out about transfer budgets on messageboards and talked about ridiculous transfer targets on a regular basis.
I'm by no means blaming the fans here, honesty after all is the best policy and the club cetainly lacked any sort of transparency during the early days of the takeover. However, does anyone else feel the weight of expectation and impatience of fans had a role to play in all this. Has it taught us anything going into the new season as a Premiership club?
