Reading away was the moment we stood above all else in the league...
They were on a good run, we had been reduced to 10 men but still managed to pull through and come up with the winner late in the game...
I remember seeing the league table as we came out of the ground and was absolutely buzzing all the way back to Devon....We got our Ranger's back!

Leicester at home, with all the teams around us dropping points and us coming through one of our hardest home games of the season was stuff of champions

For me it started at Derby continued to feel even more so at Palace and then was "this is it" we are gonna do it after the Reading game. And the reason.................We never have the run of the green and along with the most penaltys won in all the years iv supported the team and late goals to get crucial points it was always gonna be our season.Been going Home and Away for 29 years and have never felt so excited/tension building up to each game.So proud of the lads and our support

On 96 mins at Derby I said to my eldest son that we would be promoted, and at Reading I told both my son's we would win the league. Since the Derby game I have never felt at any stage that we would not get something from every game. I have been wrong only 5 times!
This season reminds me of what it is like to go to any stadium in the country and expect a positive result and I haven't had that feeling since we finished 5th in the PL all those years ago as London's top club (It may have been the old Canon league Div 1 my memory is not what it used to be!!)
I should have changed my signature back in February!!22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Derby away was the first inkling I had that something special was about to happen. Practically every game since increased that feeling. Don't think I have ever posted a thread this season where I've said we won't get promoted. Just taken it one game at a time though and been quietly confident throughout.

I remember thinking after I'd watched the first Coventry game on sky at my friend's house on 28th December(I think that was the away one) that we were going to stay were we where at the top for the rest of the season. It wasn't boasting as I only thought it to myself but we seemed to have managed to stay there so long already that,at the time,it seemed the season was half over and we hadn't been budged yet.(Apart from the few days we were second twice.)Usually you hope or it's wishful thinking but this time I was quietly confident,we stayed there and the rest is history.(A bit like Cardiff!)
