w12 sounds very plausable, didn't realise that but makes sense.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I think the time where it got silly was when we played Connolly as a defensive midfielder, when Rowlands was fully fit, bit of a joke when you think about it but I can't blame rowlands thinking, what the hell????
Connors didnt look to bad in that role though did he

He didn't lose the captaincy to Taarabt. He lost it to Hall.

With all due respect, Scott, can you blame him for being this way after how things have tunred out? He feels (like many fans) that he deserved a chance to prove himself. He would have done a job in the absence of Derry, yet defenders like MC were played there instead.

Add to this, some fans, and none more so than yourself, protrayed Martin as some nasty piece of work who gave nothing, and cared less for the club. Ok, in this post you've stated that he's been a loyal servant, but you were way over the top with him in recent times. Not trying to have a dig, mate, but the way you go on at times, it's almost as if you feel you've been more important to QPR than Rowlands has.

It's all about opinions, mate, but Martin deserved more respect than he's been given. That said, I can't really excuse too much, his actions at the POTY last night. For someone like myself who championed him, it's a slight let down.

I know you think I'm anti rowly mate but as W12 has alluded to, he could have handled things better - you dont mess with Warnock (and rightly so - he's the gaffer). If you aint being played you graft and you graft and you graft and you keep your mush shut - like Hogan and others have done.

Alright if your going to be pedantic about, Rowlands was out injured when Hall got the captaincy. Hall gets injured Rowlands was coming back to fitness it was handed to Taarabt, Rowlands thinks he should be starting and doesn't like Taarbat one bit as it is.....cue Rowlands spitting his dummy out!

Very valid points mate, and I've possibly been OTT in the past on him. I'm trying to be more balanced now. He HAS been a loyal servant to the club and I'll remember the good days as it is a shame for him to go out on a low. I did not witness him last night (but did last year) maybe a team mate or mucker should have told him to stop drinking maybe - i dunno.

Alex Ferguson has shown to the world on more then one occasion that you dont cross the manager. You have to set high standards for disipline otherwise you wont get the respect as a manager otherwise.

In all fairness, for all the championing I've done, you'd like to think that Martin would be sensible enough to know when he's had too much, or when to keep his mouth closed.

I won't go too harsh on him, for the said reasons, but he should have known better.

Pleased to see you're giving him the credit he deserves, though.

I was there last night too. First time there and had a table right at the front. Jim White was quality. Blinding night and great atmosphere - does help when you are Champions tho..

Before the awards, Rowlands was in great form. I thought it was bad on NW not to call up Lee Cook or Martin Rowlands up on stage. He got all the team up stage to thank them for the year. He mentioned Kyle Walker and hes been gone since January. Totally understand why Rowlands was pissed off after the awards, just a shame cause whatever his opinion is of NW, the QPR fans always love him as a great servant of the club. No need to tell fans to f**k off when they want a signature or pic - just responded to a few people saying hes not part of the team so wouldn't sign things. Definately gone in the summer, not sure about Cookie. He seemed in good spirits before the awards but never saw him after.

Why did Rowan Rine turn up?? He came in giving it the Mr Big-man but did stay drinking with fans in the resident bar. Rufus B is a legend and always at Rangers games so good to see.

As for Adel, what can you say. In his defence, he is always going to be hounded by fans for pics and autographs but for one night of the year, does he not think its right to stay at the clubs party. The difference between leaving at 10.30 and 1.30 changes opinions. Maybe because he never won the supporters POTY but to leave before the awards was over - disgraceful.

Every player was happy to stand for pics and sign autographs and couldn't be more welcoming to fans even WR who got bad reports for leaving early last year. Shittu must of stayed in one spot for over 1 1/2 hour just having his pic down and signing autographs.

All the players were welcoming with pics and autographs, even if they were dying to nip off to the toilet. Only a handful of players left at 11 - Hall, Dave and Faurlin but AF had his family so can't blame him.

I went down to the residents bar and most of the team were there - HH, Ramage, Derry, Hill, Kenny, Orr, Gorkks till 4am when I left. Ramage even buying us a round of drinks and offering drinks to other Rss fans.

The points issue is out of our hands and we all can only wait for this week to be over. The way club officials were acting - I hoping the obvious outcome.

A Brilliant night, and all the players had plenty of time for the fans. Gianni was a nice guy, had a few jokes with him - and was good to see faces like Kevin Gallen there. Was a night to remember, just a shame I didnt get to meet Adel - but did meet QBP! lol
