If you remember the end of season Q&A with the players it was his choice to have a go. Delaney went up massively in my opinion when he sat there and put Rowly in his place saying he disagreed with Rowly and agreed with us fans as the players performance was unacceptable

kinda gutted for Rowly that he wont get to play in the premier league for us and can understand his frustration but he should not be bad mouthing Warnock publicly. I guess he feels he played through all the **** and is not gonna get any reward.

Sorry to say this but we have moved on, Rowlands whilst a good servant got well paid for his services and is not the player many on here believe. We now have players who are prepared to die for the club and when they make mistakes or play badly are happy to come out and say so, i.e. Hill at Scunthorpe and Aggy against Hull. If as some say he was a fan he would be genuinely pleased at our success not bitter and twisted and looking to cause problems when the club is progressing. Its not like he set the world alight during his loan spell at Millwall is it?

              Martin Rowlands is yesterday's man.
              Not needed anymore.
              Goodbye, Martin.

I know what I'd have told the club if that was the case.

It all started if I recall correctly when he made a concerted effort to get the players off the pitch without acknowledging the fans after the Boxing Day game against Bristol City in 2009.

I think he then publicly criticised the fans in his programme notes before the next game.

Good point Scott. Delaney showed a level of honesty and an understanding of what is and is not acceptable. Surprised me at the time to be honest.

I liked Delaney a lot more after that meeting and will always have a bit of a soft spot for him now.
I think what's happened with Rowly is a big, big shame -- never really found him approachable, but I suspect he's a bit of a man's man, but I know someone who he was very rude to last night; however, a little later on, Rowly DID seek that person out to apologise to him.
He was also a good servant to the club for many years, but times have changed, as Gareth Ainsworth found out last year -- he accepted that, and look how well he's done dropping down to Wycombe.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

I have no doubt that Martin Rowlands would still be good enough to play for QPR. He has always recovered well from injuries and was playing some of the best football of his career when he get injured playing international football for Ireland.

He is obviously not in the team due to some kind of falling out with Warnock. If Warnock is to stay, which i suspect he will (and should), then it will probably be in Rowlands interest to move on unfortunately.

It's a shame as I still think that he has a lot to offer.

As for those fans slating him for having a go at fans, I recall those times very well.

The fans booed off a QPR team (who were short of confidence) that decided to defend a slender lead in a home game. These are the same fans that booed Gavin Mahon's every kick during another home game. Appalling support in my view and Martin Rowlands was quite RIGHT to have a go back.

From my recollection he has ALWAYS come and applauded fans after games but took fans to task on just a couple of occasions when they very much overstepped the mark.

Martin, you have been a great servant for QPR. If you decide to move on then I wish you the very best in your future career.

Pretty decent post and how I see it.

Some on here, no names mentioned do have it in for rowlands but he has been a great servant to the club. He has also had to put up with playing with plenty of dross and has been a big part of why I carried in watching rangers through those dark times.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Really? Who would he replace then? Derry? Faurlin?

Fawny, personally think the "old" Rowlands is every bit as good, if not better, than both Derry and Faurlin, however, happy to accept arguments the other way.

My issue is more to do with how the guy has not been in the matchday squad. The guy has played in a number of positions for QPR and in my opinion is certainly worth a place on the bench at least. He is an intelligent, hard working player in my book and for that I will always appreciate his efforts.

Would certainly be good backup to them IMO...IF he and Neil could resolve their personal differences. Remember it wasn't that long ago when Neil hailed Rowly as like having a brand new signing when he returned from injury, and has even tried to sign him in the past.

I personally saw Rowlands being very rude to fans last night so did not even bother to try and have a word with him as he was obviously not in the mood to be there

In his defence though when he won the Player of the Year at QPR about 5-6 years ago he was an absolute gent and its just a shame his career has gone off track with us but I wish him all the best where ever he ends up if he leaves us
