  • My take on Watford. On the pitch and off it.

First and foremost, we are there. Something, as growing up in the last 15 years, I would never thought have happened. This time 5 or 6 years ago we were just another sh*t team going nowhere. Now this club has been turned on it's head.

The defence: Cerny did well, but distribution was a bit slow. Probably due to lack of match practice. S*ittu was immense when he came on. Won everything. Kaspars was slow but progressed as the game went on. Conners seemed nervous but did well. Bradley Orr did well and seemed to be more composed on the ball for once. Felt sorry for fitz, he was having a good game.

Midfield: Shaun Derry was key, stopped their midfield playing. Ali was brilliant, contributing both attacking and defensive displays. Adel didn't do much in terms of his normal game but did enough to contribute throughout the match. Tommy smith got better as the game went on and showed with his goal and assist play. Wayne didn't get much service. Buz did a fair bit when he came on, good free kick.

Upfront: Heidar worked his sock off all game. Was very unlucky not to score.

Fans: unbelievable atmosphere. Everyone was united. Non stop singing. Good songs, including the ones aimed at the rangers in the Watford end.

Watford fans were rubbish and tw@ts, as per. Saying we were out of order. I remember them flaunting the play offs in our face when we were struggling. They are boasting about beating up 3 fans in the Rookery, well hard. Then throw bottles at kids and fans and then think it's out of order when they react. Had to bite my Tongue in the evening when I saw some at a bar.

There was a large number of our fans who really pi$$ed me off yesterday, especially during the 1st half.

Moaning at everything that didn't come off.. having a go at Cerny when he didn't throw the ball out even though Routledge was often surrounded anyway.

Cardiff was a lot better it has to be said.

      We were quite noisy mind.

Watford's tactics were odd, to say the least. The Watford fans I was with were scratching their heads.

Last time they beat us by playing short, quick passes around our centre backs. Scored 3, could have been a lot more. They did it a couple of times in the game yesterday and we looked instantly uncomfortable. I told the Watford guys that if they kept doing this, they will continue to cause us all sorts of problems.

Why then they spent most of the time hoofing the ball up front was beyond us. Talk about play to Shittu's strengths! No one is going to beat him in the air 99% of the time.

Strange, but hey, what do I know! Pleased they did though - worked out well for us!

Outside of Watford other fans rate him highly. I wonder if they have actually watched him play?

I hope you added at the end 'all is good though because my bf thinks your the best'
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

the thing with them is that they play youth players who are 17, 18, 19 and they play well in 1 half or a few games and all of a sudden they are "quality" because they had ashley young as a youngster. loach is one of them, they signed him from a lower league club and they stuck him in when they were desperate and he did well. they are now seeing he is actually sh*te
