(Author of today's mirror article). Makes very good reading:http://twitter.com/#!/Smudge1962

"Trust me your get a fine and a slap on the wrist. The FA's case against QPR is completely flawed."

"One final thing about QPR. The fee paid to the agents that owned the players economic rights went through and was sanctioned by the FA."

To add..it appears he has a decent source. Albeit I've heard its a solicitor he knows and not one of the barristers. See, that's correct journalism where as the Sun has not a single "fact" in their latest story.

As much as I'm not a Paladini fan I'm sure he was not the only person at the club who thought this was a good idea at the time.

Anyone else notice The Sun did not contain a single thing on us yesterday?

Who knows what the paperwork really says but all we said publicly was the following:

Jim Magilton's first signing as QPR Manager has arrived in the shape of Argentinean midfielder Alejandro Faurlin.

The 22 year-old has penned a three year deal at Loftus Road, with Rangers agreeing a deal worth £3.5million for the left-sided player.

The deal, however, is subject to Faurlin receiving international clearance.

The mad thing is though that I dont think I have ever spoken to a single QPR fan who ever believed we paid 3.5 million for Faurlin

You look back at the posts of the time; there was no way it was anywhere near 3.5m and yet motormouth Paladini had to go on about it. It was always strange that 3.5 would represent a Record Transfer for the club, but this was never mentioned by the club when talking about the deal. I have always said he may get on better if he does a solid job and keeps his gob shut; unfortunately, his record at Rangers to date suggests that he can't do either...

In any case, if this does go breasts up, I'll wait for Pete's first post telling us Faurlin. Was a Magilton / Gorman signing after all...

                hahahaha

The more this fella from the Mirror 'twits' the more plausible it sounds as what he is basically saying is Paladini is a buffoon of the highest order something which I would totally agree with.

                        I'm confident now tbh
                        Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                        And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

These are the best things ive read about our 'problem' for a while..

All 'Tweets' from Paul Smith (Chief football reporter for the Sunday Mirror)

QPR to be docked points? Rest easy. Newspaper reports very wide of the mark and FA's evidence circumstantial at best.

The lawyer defending the Championship leaders is a personal friend and he is very relaxed about the hearing next week.

QPR supporters should blame Gianni Paladini who claimed the club paid £3.5m for the player when they only paid £600,000.

Trust me your get a fine and a slap on the wrist. The FA's case against QPR is completely flawed.

QPR's Alejandro Faurlin was signed before the new third party rules were introduced and both the FL and FA sanctioned the deal.

I might also add the FA only went piling into QPR when Paladini claimed they had paid £3.5m when in fact they only paid £600,000.

QPR are also likely to attempt to have the hearing delayed or thrown out following ill-informed newspaper reports.

One final thing about QPR. The fee paid to the agents that owned the players economic rights went through and was sanctioned by the FA.

I can assure you the deal was ratified before the new third party rules were introduced

The FA are told it's around £600,000 and then QPR suddenly claim it could be £3.5m. Know wonder the FA came calling

Given all the controversy over third party agreements why QPR had to inflate the fee is beyond me.

While I have no desire to defend the FA, they wanted to hear the case much earlier. QPR's legal team delayed the hearing

I can only write the facts as I know them. The Sun story was misleading and factually incorrect
