What the f..uk! Are we(our lawyer) leaking as well.

Didnt we agree with THE FA to make no further comments on the case...?

Who is Paul Smith by the way?
Looks to me like all the lawyer has said is he is relaxed about the case. Not exactly much of a leak! Fact the journo is being so committed in his views very encouraging. The Sun had nothing of note in it, unusual for that particular publication.

Well I'm sure he explained the rules to the journo and gave him a chronology (which would be in public domain anyway) but nothing in there I would be worried about from a disclosure viewpoint. I am a lawyer, albeit nothing even vaguely related to this kind of thing, and am not concerned what I have seen so far on what we have said. The Sun have placed the FA in a very difficult position with that story which helps us.

From what I can make out we have gained no competitive advantage through any admin error and a points deduction resulting in us not getting promoted would no doubt lead to a serious challenge and not as if our backers can't afford a legal fight. Not to say it has not put a major dampener on how I and many others have felt over last few days and looking forward to it being over.

I'd say that IF the Sun were right, and the FA decision backed up the Custis article, it would look very dodgy.... almost as if The FA are in the Suns pocket.
With all the phone-tapping stuff going on, that would be embarassing (and possibly very costly) for the FA.

Wouldn't look good for them at all.
                Would look very... Fishy.

And, Goddard, if your surmises are correct, it could mean that the FA's case is very close to collapse.

I know sod all, but it's just how it would look to me.

The Sun article was annoying and has caused all this cranking up of the media attention on the hearing... but it may have actually helped our case.

Sounds par for the course, to me.

Custis has just been on 5Live with Colin Murray.
Can't remember every word, but it was basically one big backtrack.

Couldn't have said the words "if" and "could" louder, or more often.

Said that "some at the FA think QPR are guilty, but they're not on the panel, so anything could happen". The man is guessing.

Well they would think we are guilty, otherwise they wouldn't have brought the case in the 1st place would they?? you f*cking log.

It'll be on bbc iplayer later... have a listen. It was about 12.15

Warnock was interviewed just before him, and Custis replied to NW's rants.

                            And he backtracked.

This Mirror journalist's English isn't too good though :

"Your get a fine" not "You'll get a fine"

                              "Know wonder" not "No wonder"
