surely it's good news as the FA could get themselves in serious bother with this 'leak' and will it not help their cause
This will certainly give the FA something to think about and could steer there verdict and punishment into a favourable decision.Great move by our lawyers as it will show them that if there has been any failures on there part we will be investigating with a fine tooth comb
Maybe its just me but I feel the club are well within their right to write to the FA. The article clearly indicates that the FA sources believe we are bang to rights and have done wrong. The club may feel there is some sort of witch hunt going on or that they are at risk off not getting a fair hearing. It could be argued in my opinion that if the club don't write to the FA then they know they are bang to rights and accept that a points deduction is imminent.
Lets keep an eye on this ***** twitter account now.
Well if the clubs lawyers are seeking to find out if there has been a leak from the fa, i would imagin it would make a difference, or why would the club bother or publish the fact that the club is looking into this possible leak.
What happens if our lawyers prove that the fa have leaked the story????

If the article was based on a genuine FA source then the club have grounds to be concerned and have a right to question whether decisions on punishment are being made prior to the hearing. If on the other hand it is a nonsense source then it would helpful if the FA clarified this. It looks like our lawyers are trying to cover all bases.
At this stage I wouldn't say the reason for it (the statement) is either a good or bad thing - doesn't help it being one more turn of the screw on us fans though.
