  • Our luck this season

Whilst we have had a few late goals and a few penalties this season and our fair share of luck, it got me thinking about other stuff..

It seems each time we play a team, they are bang in the middle of a run or are the form side.

Defeats to Leeds and Watford were when they were playing really well.

We played Forest at Home off the back of 7 straight wins, Leicester had won about 5 on the spin, Hull unbeaten in 17 away, Burnley playing well after a poor start when we played them, Millwall played us when they just started winning.
Cardiff last week won 5 on the spin before playing us.

How many teams have we played when there are in the middle of a poor run??

Seems we need to play a real in form side to deliver the goods.
This worries me as neither watford or Leeds are in form or anything to play for!!

      100% spot on..

the loss to scunthorpe was prolly the only standout one.

we play better against teams who have a better profile(hopefully that bodes for next year as we'll have 19 others better than us)

however. watford are our bogey team.

leeds im less worried about. all depends on what they have to play for.

A team with "nothing" to play for are more dangerous, especially when it's the sides last home game fo the season.

Pompey will be well up for Norwich for example. Potential new owners, last home game, solid side, just drew away at Burnley with "nothing" to play for.

Watford will be relaxed knowing the result will not cost them so will play relaxed football. That's my biggest worry. I think Leeds having something to play for when they come to LR will be better than them being in the same boat as watford, imo
