  • Craigslist Ticket Con..For Leeds Game..Merged Thread

To anyone tempted to buy tickets through craigslist, dont fall for it. I was conned today and am £60 worse off now (I ran up the bank an hour after transfer and the transaction couldnt be cancelled). It seems that the same ******s are setting up different accounts on craigslist and selling their tickets for £60, it just seems unlikely that the tickets are not only so cheap but also that everybody is selling them for £60. My search for a ticket continues!!

Willis. When I get in to work, I'll pm you. Been working with the police on a number of fraudulent ticketing issues from craigslist.

Are we talking about the leeds ticket because the same thing happened to it. Although it was through gumtree and the the name 'Mark Hartley'. I contacted gumtree as the ticket still has not been sent and they said to contact the police.

Still there an alternative number to do this? Any help would be welcomed.

          Thanks

Craiglist is originally a New York-based 'Yellow Pages' for anything.

Sounds like a cash cow for selling what people want, when you have nothing to sell.

For a majority of people, Craigslist works really rather well. I've bought World Series on there. However, you can get conned (as I was for a college football game).

It's a haven for fraudsters and craigslist's admin are, frankly, appalling to deal with and take any level of responsibility.

Some of them are there are selling the tickets for a quid. Now I would have found that suspicious from the start

The people asking what craiglist is here and on the .org, I've found a really good site for finding out this kind of information, you would only have to type in the one word 'craigslist' rather than post a sentence on a message board. The site is http://google.com.
