Nodge, a while back i asked you for your honest & educated outcome of this situation, you said "a fine" i know you was only giving your opinion, but recently you said you had spoke to someone at the FA, and they said to expect the worse, i'm confused, can you shed some light at the end of this dark tunnel

I took quite a bit of time out last night and ran through all similar cases over the past 21 years through the pyramid (i.e. since Swindon) and my PERSONAL opinion is that were f**ked.
Where false documents have been submitted in the past, a points deduction and a fine has followed as sure as night follows day. Whether these documents have been presented as such "in good faith" is utterly immaterial. I couldn't find any instances of proven false documentation resulting only in a fine, a suspended fine or a slap on the wrist.
Only question for me is whether said points deduction is applied this season or the FA follow the Boston precedent and apply the following season. Our misdemeanours aren't, from the info openly available, as bad as Boston's and they "only" had a 4pt deduction. I would assume something like a 2 or 3 pt deduction applied next season. Fingers crossed and squeaky bum time.
I must stress, personal opinion only, no ITK in that whatsoever, just my reading and yes, Pete, I'll still post even if it's only a fine! Hope I'm wrong.Last edited by Guest; 27-04-2011, 10:43 AM.

Buzsacky is God, you were not even born when the Swindon case came out.
No comparison whatsover. They were betting on matches and owing clubs in the football league thousands. Please don't compare the two, let the supporters from Cardiff do that.

Can I just repeat for the umpteenth time, that Faurlin was signed on the 7th july 2009 the rules came into being on the 4th august having been agreed a month earlier the rules and procedures were not published until July 10th 2009 (Go to the FA site and see for yourself, get the PDF and view the creation date)
We will not have points deducted for not following a procedure that was not in place at the time of the signing and is being applied retrospectively.
What we may be liable for is the documentation / actions this season after we brought it to the attention of the FL / FA.
As has been pointed out the only precedent for this is Boston Utd who had six counts where they had been paying players more than was documented, they got a 3 pt deduction and fine applied to the following season.
They were not denied promotion

I've never been a big Terry Ball fan, mainly because of his too often anti-Paladini views, but on this I tend to sympathise with him. If Paladini or anyone else at the club (or formerly connected with it) has played a deliberate part in deceiving the F.A. on the one hand, while getting our hopes up for the first time in 15 years that this really was our year back to the gloryland, then they must face justice. I hope and believe that this isn't the case and that the F.A. will take that view. Because if they don't, we will be stuffed this season I feel.
I for one, cannot get too excited concerning promotion unless and until the verdict from the F.A. is favourable, and we are consequently, duly promoted. So..let's just get as many points as possible and hope for the best. Can't help thinking though, if we were Man Utd, the worst possible thing we would have to worry about is a big fine. One law for them, another for the rest.

I agree with the above.
Though whilst most are sitting back waiting for the outcome, one or two have already decided that a certain individual is guilty.
An Independent Tribunal is deciding that, not us.
of course if anyone stops us from getting promoted, they won't know what is coming to them. But, its best just to wait and seeALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

well be there
well i can onlly say that warnock has always been a black and white sort of a guy there hasnt been any bull from neil
on consulting there specialist solicitor it was found that out of the seven charges qpr will only face one charge
that is the lesser charge so i dont know why are all panicking all over the place
i am going to predict a 100 000 fine and im pretty sure i will be close to being correct..............I AM NOT ITK.................I HAVE NOT A BRAIN .............
................BUT BELIEVE THAT VICTOR WILL SAVE US..........................

Once it's over and done with and we are officially promoted on may 7th I will truly feel the elation that is missing now
Despite not being at all concerned by this saga - I have never thought that it will cause us to not be promoted - I fully understand that some people are.
I hope that come the Leeds game, you will be able to relax and celebrate as you are entitled to after all this time.
My only issue with your stance on GP is the fact that you seem unable to accept the possibility of him not having done anything wrong. If he has done wrong, is guilty of deliberately misleading the authorities in some way and causes us a whole load of grief irrespective of whether it stops us going up or not, then I will join you in castigating the man.
But until then, it's not really fair to blame him for something that very few of us if any, know the details of. I seem to recall you thinking that he had undertaken some other form of "dodgy dealing" not that long ago, which if true, would surely have been something that the powers that be could have got their teeth into. Something that would have been worthy of us being deducted points. Nothing seems to have come of it though, has it? Maybe, that is because there was no truth to it.
I just feel that now is perhaps not the time to be attacking part of the set up which has done really well for us over this last year.

"Buzsacky is God, you were not even born when the Swindon case came out."
Pete I wasnt born when they dropped a bomb on hiroshima but I know it happened,
as for our current predicament if they were taking bets i would bet on a points deduction applied at the beginning of next season
any points deduction that effects promotion just opens up such a can of worms that I doubt the FA would fancy the falloutits New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

Sorry guys, but I think a lot of you are blinkered and choosing to ignore the worst case scenario here. As you would expect there is much debate over on the Cardiff message boards, these messages below are from a poster who seems to have a good grasp on the issues, they may be quite an interesting contribution to the debate.
"It's both the FA and the FL believe it or not but it's the FA which has raised the charges and set up the independent tribunal to hear the case.
I was unsure about the likely outcome of this whole thing until I was told last week that 2 of the charges against QPR are on behalf of the FL, QPR have been charged with fielding an ineligible player in FL match during season 2009-2010 and a second charge of fielding an ineligible player in season 2010-2011.
The remaining charges relate to 3rd party ownership, failing to declare a 3rd party interest in registration documents and submitting incorrect / false documentation and using or attempting to use an unlicensed agent. One charge has been made against both the club and Mr Paladini.
I have been told that there is absolutely no doubt about the 3rd party ownership and it was not declared in the original registration document pack. QPR are saying this was a mistake and not a deliberate attempt to conceal, this will not matter one dot to the FA and when QPR are found guilty the original registration will be cancelled hence the charges relating to fielding an ineligible player.
FL rules allow for a 3 point deduction for each game the player appeared in (39 matches in 2009-2010) and 6 matches during 2010-2011 although the 3rd party issue was not fully resolved until January 2011 so there may be more games this season.
The FA have the power to apply punishment on behalf of the FL and I have no doubt if the idependent tribunal find against the club they will. If thats the case forget automatic promotion, forget the playoffs and start worrying about relegation.
Also expect the 3rd from bottom place club last season Sheffield Wednesday starting legal proceedings for loss of income, apparently Mandaric has already had lawyers all over it as if this had come to light last season QPR would have been relegated instead of Sheffield Wednesday because of the likely points deduction.
The hearing starts a week today with the results published on the 6th May the day before the last round of games"
"Until last week I had no idea what the exact charges were against QPR only that there were 7 of them including using or attempting to use an unlicensed agent.
However last week completely by accident I bumped into an old friend in town and we had a drink together to catch up on things. I cannot say his name but believe me he has worked in football for over 40 years and currently works for UEFA.
Talk got around to the Bluebirds and he asked where I thought we would finish and I said I hoped 2nd, he replied with the hole QPR have dug for themselves 3rd will probably be good enough.I immediately asked him what he meant by that because having known him for over 20 years he is normally very careful with what he says because of his job, just a feeling he said which for this guy was ******** he either knew something or he didn't so I pushed him further.
When I said he couldn't know because the FA I only made public that there were 7 charges and not what the 7 charges were he sort of smiled and gave me the its not what you know look. He wouldn't tell me how he found this out, more than my jobs worth and all that stuff, but most people think registration documents are lodged with the PL & FL which is right but they are also lodged with the FA.
In the case of the FA there are absolute requirements which must be submitted prior to registration i.e. for overseas players an international transfer certificate. Also for overseas players full written disclosure of the financial arrangements involved in the transfer including ALL payments to agents and FULL disclosure of any 3rd party interest in the player with full disclosure of the arrangements to but out the 3rd party interest.
When the FA introduced the new regulations regarding 3rd Party interest in players they developed lovely new forms to complete which must be submitted with the registration pack of documents. In this case no form was submitted confirming a 3rd party interest BIG BIG Mistake now it has all come out that the player is owned by a South American Company.
QPR have been supplied with a copy of original registration pack the club submitted and with details of the Company who claim ownership of the player, well their past ownership because QPR agreed terms to buy out their interest in January this year.
Failure to supply ALL documents required by the FA means the player registration under FL rules is null and void and the player becomes ineligible to play in any matches. I understand this process because I have been involved in football administration for over 20 years so I understand how it works.
When I heard that 2 of the charges related to a breach of FL rules regarding fielding an ineligible player I knew through my experience that QPR have a huge problem. The PL failed to properly apply their rules in the Tevez case but this time the FA are dealing with it and I don't think for one second that if QPR are found guilty, or in football terminolgy the case is proven 3rd place in this years championship will be good enough for automatic promotion.
If it is the case I will feel sorry for the QPR fans because they have done nothing wrong yet they will feel the pain of a guilty verdict more than anyone. But none of this is personal and if the boot was on the other football there would be 23 other championship clubs and their fans who would take our place.
Just the way of the world"
