The main issue here is

QPR Say they have deliberately done nothing wrong (of course that is open to interpretation)

FA/Football League want answers.

I am happy the top lawyers (more than one) can provide enough proof to quash any severe punishments.

The problem lay in the severity of the fine, which must be miles apart otherwise we would have agreement by now.

Its up to the Independent tribunal to make a decision after listening to both parties. Don't forget in regards to Hereford its was not an independent decision (as far as I know).

I suspect the club feel it warrants no fine or a small fine and the FA feel they can get much more, they will push for a much higher figure.

At the end of the day, personal opinion think they will meet somewhere in the middle and common sense prevails,

Believe me. We've all sat on here since March and worked out "worse possible scenarios"!!!

There is only the "possibility" that Faurlin is ineligible for a 6 game period from September 1 to September 28. During which he played one game.

Faurlin was not ineligible during 2009/2010 - the new third party ownership rule did not kick in until September 1, 2010 at which point, Faurlin's registration had already been placed with the FL, who again accept no wrong doing had taken place - until we notifying them of the situation in regard to the discrepancy between the documents we submitted and those new FA rules implemented after the submission.

The nearest precedent to our case is that of Boston United, who deliberately misled the authorities and admitted doing so. Punishment of 4pts into the following season and a £50k fine. The unlicensed agent precedent set this season with Bristol City, £30k fine. The FA or the PL have never once accepted that the punishment given to West Ham re Tevez was not correct. The recompense came from civil proceedings brought by Sheffield United based on probability not in relation to fact.

I understand why Cardiff supporters especially will seek to look at the best scenario that suits their promotion push - we'd do the same - however the facts of our case are nowhere near as bleak as you paint (and this is from myself, someone who has always believed a points penalty will be forthcoming and a reknowned pessimist on this board and works within the football industry)

2-3pts carried into next season and a £75k - £100k fine.

Guys, canary here in peace. I just want to add that personally I hope you keep all of your points. I am not confident at all that we'll take all of the points from our game at Pompey but I wouldn't want to be promoted at your expense. If you finish top, you've been the better side over 46 games and deserve to be promoted.

I know how this would feel if the shoe were on the other foot. The fans don't deserve this. I just hope we get the 6 points that would mean we don't get caught up in this mess and are promoted through results and not by default.
