This WILL sound pessimistic (agreed!) but the fact is we want Premiership next season. All that can prevent that is us losing twice heavily and Cardiff winning twice heavily (or variations thereof that result in our +13 goal difference on Cardiff being eroded away). So, with that in mind, should our aim be to avoid two heavy losses, to get 1 point, or to win both?

I'll take a guess at this... Win both?

If we go out to draw with Watford the best we will get is a draw! Put out the same team as usual and play to win the game the same way we have done all season, this has worked more often than not!

If we can keep the score down to 5-0 in each we'll be fine.

The players will want to go for two wins especially as both Watford and Leeds have beaten us already this season - they will want to put things right.

Play each game as we have until now. If we do the minimum return should be 2 points.

If we went out to play for the draw, would we probably mess it up. Not sure the fans would be too pleased watching us faff about like we did in the 2nd half of yesterday's game for two whole matches. Nerve-wracking enough as it is without deliberately putting us under any more pressure than necessary. Oh, and also would be cheating the fans.

I don't think Cardiff will win at Burnley or that Norwich will win at Pompey anyway.
I think we stand as much chance of winning our last two games as they do, if not more.
                  :-p

I presume they also wanted to win against Scunny, Derby and Hull too.... what's "different" about next games then? I'm not being antaganostic - I just don't buy the logic that we'll suddenly sort it out.

I wasn't suggesting we would suddenly sort it out, just that NW and the players will have added incentive to go for a win. It could still all go t**ts up
