Does anyone think we need to sign some new strikers in the summer?

I am not counting Jamie Mackie as for me he is not an out and out striker. Do quite like Miller and hope he features in last couple of games so we can properly assess whether worth signing.

Do think our strikers have had a tough time this season. Playing up front on your own is a thankless task leaving our strikers battling against two defenders and often having nobody to latch onto their flicks and knock downs. However it is their hard work in that role that allows Taarabt the freedom to do his own thing and to a lesser extent likes of Routledge and Smith.

To be honest, I do not think our current system of building a team around Taarabt will work out in the Premier League. What If he leaves? It's going to be a real challenge next season and we must make dramatic tactical changes. As for the current players, the only ones I think can make it to the Premier League are: Kenny, Taarabt, Faurlin, Hall, Mackie and Derry. In the Premier League, you need pacey full backs who can defend and attack like Kyle Walker (hope we sign him). We also need two proven strikers upfront. None of our current strikers are good enough for the Premier League.

In the event of promotion (not counting any chickens) we'll need a whole new team (GK and Taarabt excepted) or we'd be down by Christmas. There is zero pace in the side - permissable, just, at Championship level but we'd get torn a new one game after game after game without it. Even Blackpool with the oil tanker Evatt at CB still had pace in the side - we've not got any and that is really a vital ingredient.
