I'm not being a doom and gloom merchant and i don't think this will happen as i think it will be just a points deduction
But
Has it crossed anyone's mind that if the worst were to happen and we were put into the play offs (for whatever reason) would anyone be worried about our current form and how we would fare against teams obviously on the up.

I expect people to say what a stupid thread but there will also be people who have thought it. Anyone?

Agree with the above ...no chance in the play-offs ...as Nodge says phsychologically we'll be shot to bits ...players, manager, coaches, fans everyone ...also the likelihood is we'd play the 6th place team ...likely to be Forest who we never do very well against anyway!

If I had pound every time I said this or posted on here then would paid for next season ticket even putting up by 50% by now. IF and that a big IF take away points that make us finish 2nd or in playoff or out side the playoff then we would appeal. We have under FA rules 14 days to appeal which would take it to 20th May. Then we be heard in 7 days from that make 27th May. During this point the league could not play the playoff as they want know if we in or out of the playoff. One more FACT this is a independent hearing so they can only recommend what happens and goes from there. THIS NOT A FA HEARING.

If we are deducted points, the amount will probably be such that we are dropped to 7th place with one point difference, with one game to go and everything to play for. This way the FA will not face lawsuits from other playoff candidates.
Another remote possibility is just enough points deducted for us to be dropped to 3rd place with one point difference, again one game to go and everything to play for. Or maybe I am just diabolical.

Totally agree with Nodge. Neil's built a great team with great spirit, but seriously, winning the league and then being bumped to the play offs for not filling in forms properly (from a player's perspective) would absolutely kill you
