The problem is that Warnock has already said the Watford pitch is a mess - which I took as him saying the ball will live in the air in a "no risk" way. It rarely works for us when we revert to this style of play and I don't expect it to work on Saturday. Could be another day like the trip to Glanford Park if we do. HH is tired as he has worked his socks off of late - don't be surprised if Hulse is brought in to be the target man for this one

just had a glance at their highlights from barnsley game. the pitch looks bad but its been worse. think we should be okay to have some football played on it.

if we are to play as you say id drop smithy and play hulse alongside helguson. gives their cb's something to consider.

hope we've learned from the 3-1 loss that pumping balls to helguson wont do it against watford. they will run and run and get stuck in making life hard for us!

would you make any changes?

id consider dropping gorkks for either connolly or shittu.. as graham's movement and gorkks' lack of pace will be a huge problem for us.

Agreed, it's not as bad as it was say a month ago. I just fear Neil will go for route 1 as the safer option. Agree that I would look to play Smith and Hulse as a bit of a surprise plan B
