I used to have fears when this shiit appeared, but after reading more about it and the saga and trouble which would make, I dnt think we will get any points deduction after all. even a fine is in doubt. the FA are not that stupid to put a scandal for a small thing like this. just relax and ENJOY PROMOTION TOMORROWWWWWWWWW

I just can't see how we can get serious points deduction for falling foul of a rule 3 days after it was agreed and 3 days before the rules and procedures were published. It wont stand up, Its what we did this year, that counts, but no one has still released any detail of the charges accept what the charges are.

Half the time I swear he's on a wind up because he knows I'm QPR! All passed in good faith for a wider audience where appropriate. Plenty of other QPR stuff that I certainly can't mention.

Remember it's not an FA hearing. It's an independent panel.
So Pete you seem to be saying that its good that Jeffro quotes a sauce from within the club but bad that Nodge quotes one from the FA. You seem to be contradicting yourself. Forgive me for being cynical but is this because Jeffro's tip is good news and Nodge's is bad news?

it's hard to make up our minds on what will be the final outcome until we get conformation , but popping negitive digs at each other won't help. if people on here are been passed on imfo from friends , sources etc , its good of them to share it with us on here , just take it at face value.its no point acussing the person of this , that and the other, make up your own minds on how you feel and think, without starting a tread war of words.
me thinking if it was very serious ali faurlin would have been suspended until the case has been concluded.i think at worse we will be given 100.000 pounds fine and between 1 to 3 points deduction , but i can see it being 10.000 pounds fine and a warning on future transfer **** ups , but thats my option. let all of have the freedom and respect others options , feel free to pass on imfo we have been told and until we know the final outcome hold the peace and keep supporting this great club of ours

Taken from Jones's programme notes from Sat - "We're not looking to spoil anyone's party, although I know that with the possibilities of the outcome that npower and the league have contingency plans for Rangers to celebrate if they do pick up three points"

So the trophy, promotion banners, champions flags etc were at Cardiff so I guess they'll be at LR today. They can't let us celebrate etc AND then deduct points, can they??

Trophy is usually presented last home game. Very much doubt it will be today. Banners should be there

The FA Hearing will still go ahead and as I said before expect a fine. Probably heavier than the club expect.

As Warnock said you cannot 100% say, but pretty sure that points are not even on the agenda

Does anyone know if whatever the outcome, other clubs can appeal against it?

If they can and do appeal, would that not bug-ger up the play-offs?

                    • You have a 28 day appeal process.

Would mean Play offs might be cancelled, and promotion to premiership not confirmed for clubs.

The FA need money, not to damage there own income

                      • Cardiff fan here. Always liked QPR as a team that played good football in the top flight when I was a kid and Cardiff were in the basement. I wouldn't question your right to the title this year - you have been the best team, with the best player and the best manager. Good luck to you.

Just wanted to check that I understand what you're charged with. Faurlin was owned by a third party and this wasn't disclosed to the FA - correct? And he played six games for you this season under that status? Then, when the club realised what had happened, they fessed up to the FA, and this hearing was called.

If that's the case, I reckon there's a chance of a points deduction because this involves an ineligible player making six appearances and having quite an impact on your season.

I'm not making any moral judgement on that - Cardiff have been up to all sorts of financial shenanigans overs the years and have had lots of these FA hearings and always just about got away with it. But I'd guess there's a 30 or 40 percent chance of you getting docked points.

One of the posters above made a comparison with the Iwelumo situation at Bristol City, but that was different. That was about the registration of an agent involved in a transfer. As I understand it, your issue is about the registration of a player.

Anyway, I bet we can all agree that the timing of this hearing is a disgrace - the FA should have sorted this out weeks ago so that everyone knew where they stood at the business end of the season.

                        • He never made any appearances as an unregistered player.
He was always registered, always eligible -- that's from the FA.
The six games which I think you mean, in that interim period, saw Faurlin start one, going off after 30mins injured; 4 games where he was injured and not in the squad; and the sixth he was an unused sub.
We haven't been charged with fielding an ineligible player, anyway -- his eligibility was never an issue.
One issue IS about an unregistered agent -- look up our case on ours or the FA's website.

You have simplified the whole thing -- we were aware of a new rule being brought in and went to the FL about his status 3 days before the new rule was published and came into force.
They didn't know how to deal with it and referred it onto the FA.
The FA then advised us to make him ours 100% so his third party ownership was cancelled and he became our player solely.

There was then some agent and paperwork issues which are the outstanding ones.

                          Hope this helps...

                              • The only hit for 'Faurlin' on the FA website says that there are two groups of charges relating to Faurlin: the first group involves third-party ownership, like the Tevez case; and the second group involves the use of an unauthorised agent.

If you're right that the club was aware of a new rule about to come into force, and approached the league beforehand, and then took advice from the FA in sorting the matter out, then I am sure you will be fine.
