    Children, children.

As with all ITK the viewer chooses what to take notice of.

I really don't care if some choose to call me a fantasist .

    I'm not bothered.

Boston United, the non-League football club which last season won a last-gasp promotion to the Third Division, yesterday escaped being demoted despite admitting six charges of providing false information to the Football Association.

A three-man FA disciplinary panel fined the Lincolnshire side £100,000 and deducted four points for the forthcoming season but stopped short of the ultimate sanction of ordering the club to be returned to the Nationwide Conference."

Legal precedent for the other charges:
"The independent Regulatory Commission found proven charges that Showunmi engaged the services of an individual, Mark Wilson, who was not a licensed agent or entitled to act in such a capacity, to represent him in contract negotiations with Luton Town between February 2004 and January 2006."

Punishment = 15k fine for Bristol City.

Well there you go, IF proven, we should be getting at least a 4 point penalty.

Not 'at least' a 4 point penalty -- the precedent is a 4 point penalty for 6 charges of submitting false information -- we have only got one charge related to that.
They can't deduct more points for less charges of the same thing.

I spoke to loads of Rangers fans yesterday at Cardiff and came to the conclusion that i am a worryier of the highest order. Everyone else seemed really confident that we would get nothing more than a fine, yet ive been a nervous wreck for the past 2 weeks.
But after getting home from Cardiff last night confirdent that its all a fuss over nothing i am back to seriously thinking we are going to have th book thrown at us.
I am seriously cheesed off with Paladini for his unprofessionalism and equally peed off with the FA to have made us poor fans wait all this time for the outcome.Once again the people who put most of, if not all of the money in to football get treated like sh1t.

It is 'at least' 4, as the false information is only one of seven charges.

Could quite easily collate up to more than just 4.

Bottom line is that IF proven guilty, by precedent we deserve a points deduction. Anyone stating that it's just a fine are deluding themselves.

But that 4 points was the punishment of six charges of submitting false information.
We have only got one charge of submitting false information.
All our other 6 charges have got clear precedents of carrying fines, nothing else.
This is the only charge of the 7 which might carry a points deduction.

Please read my post again, as I think you seem to think all our charges were for submitting false information -- which they were not -- only ONE of them was.

You almost seem to be enjoying revelling in the possibility of a points deduction -- why?
If not, you must be a serial pessimist who is not seeing the evidence in front of you.
And doing a good job of trying to worry people who are trying to put all this out of their minds and get some enjoyment out of what is left of the season.

You've made your point -- would be a good idea to now drop it.

Oh, and by the way, in order to get a points deduction, the precendent is that we must be proved to have had an on-the-pitch advantage, as is the case with ineligible players or overstretching player wages, leading to financial administration.
Neither of those apply to our case -- we have not been charged with these.

f... it, it is what it is, it'll be what it'll be, so why worry? We cannot make the decision nor change whatever the decision may be and ultimately who cares what happens, because we will support our ragged bunch through thick and thin, whatever the weather and wherever that may be.

                        Exactly!
And people coming on here like prophets of doom, ignoring clear precedents, do us no favours.

Swanley this post has cheered me up, and it makes perfect sense - you should be representing us at the hearing!

Swanley I admire your positivity and your research into the whole situation is superb. In my opinion though I don't think any precedents have been set. Surley each Case will be judged on it's own merits? I don't know the ins and outs of exactly what happened but I would not be going on other clubs fates to predict our own. We have done wrong and I expect us to be punished accordingly. I don't buy into all the talk of the fa being scared of us, if they were then they would of dealt with this situation without the formalities. If my worries turn out to be pure paranoia then happy days, I will be doing cartwheels on may 7th... Fingers crossed
