  • To Each and Every One Of You...

Now I’m no writer so please bear with me. I just felt I needed to get down on paper(ok Microsoft word!) my take on yesterday.

Now I’m not going to talk about how brilliant we played, how amazing and electric the atmosphere was and I’m not even going to reflect on the season and how this team has in my opinion over performed this season.

My over riding feeling yesterday was of total pride in being part of this club, I have been going since I was 12 , I’m now 38 and have brought my 3 boys up to support this club of ours and in their life time supporting QPR it has not been the easiest of times when you have 2 teenage sons living in a world of Chelsea, Man Utd and Spurs supporters but they love their club and they have never known us in the premiership so the excitement of this season like many others has been well earned.

But going back to yesterday, walking into the ground and seeing just short of 2 thousand rangers fans singing their hearts out filled me with so much pride with my two sons standing next to me in awe of the atmosphere we were creating filled me with a feeling that almost brought me to tears which I don’t mind admitting.

Now I know at times we all fight on here, I know that we don’t all share the same opinion at times when it comes to all things rangers but yesterday I realised there was a unity within us which is stronger than oak, when we scored grown men were hugging strangers, and the feeling of togetherness I felt yesterday within our band of rangers brothers is something I will never ever forget so a massive thank you to you all for making it such a truly wonderful experience.

We will go up, we might struggle and go down, we might do well and hold our own who knows? But one thing I do know is that we have the best group of supporters the world has ever seen...

Great post. I was dragging the bloke next to me, all over the place. My two bros and Pete were next to me, getting mobbed by men stood in the isle next to us. I had some bloke jump on my back at one point as well.

I've never known a celebration like ours for the 1st equaliser. Charlton away when Bolder scored was close, but wow...yesterday was amazing.

My shins are battered and bruised today. Great drink up in Greenford after, as well.

One of the most memorable away days I've ever gone on.
      Your mum would love me...

Good description mate and I even shook hands with Paul Finney

All as one yesterday just as it should be regardless of our differing views on club matters

Even standing during the whole game added something to the day, the noise when we scored was ear bursting, at haft time outside it was like coming out of a rock gig as my ears were ringing.

Tomorrow is going to be even better then the oldham game I reckon.

Like I said I'm no writer but a friend mine is and this is what he had to say about yesterday which backs up what I'm trying to say..

I was in the White Horse along with Ells, Deepsea, Rangerbird, Chris and at least a hundred other Rangers fans and it was a wonderful feeling. Every time they showed the Rangers fans on the telly, everyone cheered and roared our appreciation and encouragement, I hoped you felt it! The singing in the Horse was superb, non-stop, fantastic.

There was likewise a camaraderie borne of long-suffering, a unity that superseded petty differences, and also a poignant sense of something wonderful that may soon be lost forever, as the world moves forward, and old communities are lost or broken up. Because of course Rangers is all about West London, and those working class roots in Paddington, Shepherds Bush, Hammersmith, Kensals Town, Green and Rise, North Kensington, Kilburn and the surrounds, out to the North and West of Shepherds Bush. These old communities have almost gone now, and along with the wonderful new world of consumerism, so has the working class mainstay in football. When we go into the Premiership, I fear that the old soul of QPR might be lost, but I hope it isn't. Like you say Joe, we're a band of brothers and the best group of supporters the world has ever seen.
