  • Just on my way home now

Can't give full run downas I'm too smashed. Gorkss was awful. Faurlin didn't put a foot wrong, Connolly did ok, as did HH. Orr played well, Derry bossed the middle and Routs run the game. Fairplay to Taarabt who really went for it, but other than the two goals (yes, both class and gained us the point), frustrated me. Smith was really off the boil today, and Hill was solid. Aggy offered the pace, but not much else.

Sorry to be so brief, but I'm pretty ruined.

The crowd were emmence today. It's been a long time since we were so vocal. Outstanding support. Great to see the appreciation from the players at the end as well.

    Nearly there boys...nearly there.

Great St. Georges day, though. I'll talk about this for a long time to come.

Granted, we can lay the blame there, but for the corners, and when we had to dig deep, he was big for us.

Benny I see us as mates now but u really need to watch a replay and when you aren't in your current state mate. Aygemang was much better than ok and changed the game and connors was poor. Have a good journey home mate and take care.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

The whole defence isn't good enough for the premiership and thats a fact, highlighted by some decent strikers today. Hall has to start monday

I think Gorkss did as well as could be expected after having stitches in his head after banging into that camera. Can you imagine how painful it is to head a ball with 12 stitches in your head?

agree with benny, amazing day shame we didnt clinch promotion there tho.

gorkks cant deal with pace and im surprised managers havent twigged this, connolly for me was at fault for bellamy's goal.. but in honesty you only have a split second for that. he was caught in two minds of how to deal with the cross and he didnt.. smith was way off.. surprised he made it onto the second half. hill was box standard for me.. nothing amazingly wrong.. backed off alot but then again smart move considering his lack of pace.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

Really? If you can watch the game again, watch Faurlin and see if you change your mind. You may not, but from what I was watching he and Derry were pretty much by passed all game.

Faurlin is overrated by the majority of QPR fans. I'm not saying he is poor, but likewise he is not in the same league as a Wilshere or a Mascherano.....

I didn't record the game, unfortunately, so can't watch it back. I honestly don't remember Faurlin doing anything wrong? You may be right, if I see it again, my view may differ, but I felt he worked well, and distributed the ball brilliantly. Derry did his job, as ever.

Just my opinions based on what I saw on the day. In fairness, I was adamant that Gorkss was at fault for the second, but it was in fact MC who failed to clear, so I needed the replay to correct me on that one.

Fair enough benny. I am not in the 'Faurlin is God' camp and whilst I'm not saying you are either, Faurlin does seem to get a lot of undeserved praise. Just to negate all the "you don't know what you're on about" comments which are bound to follow, I am not saying he is not a good player, I just don't think he is the messiah.

I certainly wouldn't paint him in the messiah bracket, but I do think he's a classy player. Still young, and for someone to have adapted as positively as he has, I feel he warrants the praise. Maybe not as highly as some give, I agree.

I think he'll only get better, and will possibly look better in the Prem, than at this level. He'll get a bit more space, and with better players around him, I'm sure he'll flourish.

I must stop agreeing. If we make it to the Prem, I think you're right, he would flourish with the extra space, but I do get concerned with our lack of pace in the middle of the park, likewise in the full-back positions.

Teams who pass and move, but also have pace will destroy us.

Agreed. Jamie O'Hara would be a great partner for Faurlin. I think he's a 'gettable' player as well.

Pace will be important, especially at the back. As much as they've all done a job, and deserve a chance in the Prem...I'm leaning towards a complete overhaul at the back, especially the full backs.
