    Points Deduction Rumour

A friend told me yesterday whom I trust points is likely & I've just read this on a Cardiff board.

Certain bookmakers have started suspending bets on the winners of the championship

Word is QPR are getting hit with a monumental points deduction. If the bookies are running for cover, somebody somewhere knows what's happening and they're probably laying several large bets on the chasing pack.

    I'm a bit worried tbh.

Would you bother betting on anyone else Ric ?

Bookies wouldn't suspend bets - and a quick glance shows that none of the mainstream bookies have. They'd encourage more bets on QPR to win the league thus cashing in when any points deduction is hit.

Truth is, no-one knows. Anyone speculating is doing it to cause bother and "OH MY GOD" what a co-incidence it rears it's head before we play Cardiff. On a Cardiff messageboard and nowhere else!!! Who'da thunk it.

Nothing in it. The date of the hearing certainly puts the FA in an invidious position should we be deducted points that materially affect promotion or the play offs. I'd assume we would injunct that the play offs cannot happen until any appeal is heard. Unless of course we're deducted over 25 points.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

              do the math.

do you really think we will be hit with a pts deduction 1 game before the end of the season?

if we are hit with a deduction it will likely be for next year.

This sums it up perfectly. Wouldn't mind some input from Walk on By, just to keep us all calm though.

Nahh thats fine mate but I would choose your mates wisely as it sounds like you have to many jokers in your pack.

do a search, walkonby has said no pts deduction.

No need to do a search - well aware of his previous stance. But given a passing of time, a nearing of the hearing date and various people casting different opinions and scenarios since his last post - would be nice to see in black and white that he remains as confident as previously

If the F.A. deduct points Rs will be able to appeal, which will throw the play offs into complete disaray at such a late stage they wont know who's in, who's out, who will play who, I think we will lose points not so sure it will be as monumental as the sheepshaggers think.
