In the same way the Unions managed to get Maggie Thatcher to back down? No that didn't work either and these people are a million times more ruthless than she was.

I for one will not be renewing and I think the people that have now renewed have missed the point!

Virtually all businesses are built on negotiation. F1 would struggle to exist without the sponsors. Likewise, if the sponsors started to pull out of football (an important revenue stream) it would cause a big impact. Why have I mentioned this, quite simply because sponsors are not interested in marketing to half empty stadiums.

If we stood strong and no-one renewed, at some point the club would have to re-negotiate.

How long do you think it would be before the sponsors started to get itchy feet and questionned the VFM of their investments ? In the current climate I don't think it would take too long.

In comparison to the efforts being made by some of the other clubs, I am not here to be taken for a mug by mine. If they are prepared to re-negotiate, then I may change my mind.

                    nope..and really don't care.
i am waiting on news from one qpr meet, if the attitude from the club remains the same, i'll quit.

Going to a QPR game at the moment is a chore. In the past, even when we were skint, I could not wait for match day to come so I can get to W12, but this season has sucked the enthusiasm out of going for me.
I have the same feeling at the moment, the excitement, the passion, the enthusiasm and all the other things a match day comprises of are slowly ebbing away.

Thats a defeatist outlook and the reason that maggie was able to destroy the unions was by splitting them up and also using brute force

Flavio might be a powerful man but he wont be able to get the police to turn up mob handed to kick our heads in.

supporters need to stand together in order to effect change, while enough keep on buying they will simply keep turning the screw. Maybe even standing together and saying enough is enough wont change things but at least i will go to me bed at night knowing that i tried.

The thing is I said last year that I wouldn’t renew after a 50% hike. I was really peeved and certain that I was just going to pick and choose the matches I would attend.

Then I remembered that I had been a season ticket holder for 40 years. It’s difficult to give the fix up.

Then I remembered that I would be at a loose end on a Saturday afternoon. It’s difficult to give the fix up.

Then I remembered that I would have to go out shopping with the wife …. And I renewed.

That’s the problem. No amount of crass football. No amount of owners with heads in the sand ignoring the average fan. The majority of season ticket holders will ultimately renew. They can’t do without their fix.

Now, I’m not going to renew my season ticket by 17th April. Then I remembered ……..

Good man. We need more fans like this to hold out against the F1 Boys & their toys. I agree with every word, there is no logic in the strategy currently being followed by these jokers. They haven't got a clue about running a football club or give a toss about their customers. If every S.T. holder refused to renew by their deadline, they would have to re-think. I've had a S.T. for thirty years and I'll renew only when they realise what a ****-up they have made.
